Keep on rollin', just like the Morrisette Coulier football franchise.

Damn, he got the three.

So should I just vote for all of the 2's and nothing else?

Josh S. said...

I think we need Ubragg to weigh in on just how random those comment numbers are.

MR.F said...

Someone can tabulate every number that's been chosen so far and see what the distribution looks like.

Junior Seau beat the shit out of his GF then tried to off himself by driving off a cliff.

Just saw your comment from last night in the other thread where you threw down the Phiwwies/Gnats gauntlet.

Hate to differ from a brother (but we can agree on how SHITTY Glendale Blvd was this morning), but I have to root for Phiws in this instance. I just couldn't stand the thought of them going to the WS while we're at home pulling our peters, and of the satisfaction their fans would get out of it. I guess it boils down to a fan thing; given far proximity, and general lack of attention the Phiws' fans pay to us anyway, I don't have to deal with any anti-Dodger gloating in that scenario. If Gnats go that far, we'll never hear the end of the "At least we went to the WS" taunts from the MCC types. I am too fragile for that reality.

Re: Say Ow;

"When he becomes eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015, Seau is a near-lock to be enshrined on the first ballot."

That's right voters. You have 4 years to forget this ever happened.

Maybe Junior and Merriman have been hanging out together.

Josh S. said...

Yeah, but the MCC knuckleheads can already play that card. I realize it creates the enormous risk of them actually winning their first, but I'm just saying the Phillies rank higher on my personal rage-o-meter. The wounds are still fresh.

I was at a BBQ on Saturday in the Bay Area. I ended up watching the Giants-Phillies game with some bandwagon-ish Giants fans (ie, people who aren't huge baseball fans but are from the SF area so root for the Giants when they do well).

I had no problem rooting for the Phillies.

Kyle Baker said...

Right.

As much as I loathe Victorino, though, and aforementioned hillbilly valley girl manager, I actually can't truly hate on the likes of Utley or Howard or Rollins or even Werth. All they did is go out and crush our dreams...I mean go out and win fair and square. They were the better team the last two post-seasons wehn playing us; it hurts, but it's true. I'd just rather them get the satisfaction of going to the WS. Plus, I hate a lot more people on the Jints, Timmeh primarily among them but also that fat fucking fat headed fat fucker KFP fuck, as well as Uribe and smug-faced fucker Burrell and all their god damned medium hitting white guys and Zito (wait, can I hate him if he's not on the post-season roster).

Josh S. said...

Oh, I can hate on Utley's fucked up hair.

Kyle Baker said...

Can you hate on Rihanna's fucked up hair, though?

*baits karina*

Kyle Baker said...

Utley represents from Pasadena and gave a shoutout to Dodgers last night. Plus he was horrible fielding against us and that led to some important runs. He's good in my book for the moment.

Josh S. said...

I also think it's infinitely more satisfying to watch the Giants get as close as possible (Russ Ortiz game ball!) and not be able to seal the deal.

MR.F said...

I feel like Phillies hate is temporal. The main reason I hate them is because they beat us and they beat us recently.

But Giants hate is permanent.

MR.F said...

Utley gave a Dodgers shoutout? What was it?

Kyle Baker said...

Mr F just summed it up better than I did.

Kyle Baker said...

@Mr F

Last night as the game began each player was introduced on screen and said one tidbit about themselves. Utley said that growing up in the LA area his favorite team was always the Dodgers.

Josh S. said...

No matter who wins, we lose.

Steve Dittmore said...

I'm going to be contrarian here, but hear me out.

I dislike the Giants as much as the next person, really since Joe Morgan in 1982. But I also lived in the Philly area a few years ago while teaching at another institution and before the Phillies started their run.

Phillies fans are downright insufferable. The weather is miserable. The fans are miserable. Everything about Angrydelphia is genuinely miserable (except the Liberty Bell, UPenn, Reading St. Market, Independence Hall and the world's best children's hospital).

I have no problem cheering for the Giants if only to make the miserable lives of Philadelphians more miserable.

MR.F said...

Thanks DB. That's cool.

I think my geographical location influences my feelings. It'd just be way too insufferable to live among such people if the Giants keep winning.

Kyle Baker said...

Teaching anything in Philadelphia just seems like an endless, fruitles endeavor, P Ditty. But I respect your having given it the old college try.

See where you're coming from, except the miserable weather thing is a push if you're comparing Phi and SF, no?

rbnlaw said...

Haterz gonna hate.

I can't muster the will to even watch an entire game.

I can root for the Rangers, as I have no dog in that fight; I hate the Yankpees, and; I have ties to Texas.

Plus the Rangers cut that fat fuck, Andruw Jones. For that, they have my admiration.

Nostradamus said...

The best thing about the Giants playing the Phils is one of them must lose.

The worst thing about the Giants playing the Phils is one of them must win.

That is all.

Kyle Baker said...

*head explodes*

Steve Dittmore said...

@Dusty - SF weather > Philly weather, especially after the streets are plowed following a 12-inch snow

Josh S. said...

Man, I started some shit. I'll go back to rooting for a meteor strike.

Kyle Baker said...

Root for burning mattresses.

Someone needs to have their fantasy team called the Westlake Burning Mattresses, BTW.

Fred's Brim said...

I am still on the Josh side of this discussion, and I support 100% what Ditty said. Those fans deserve nothing except pain and defeat for acting like the assholes that they are. I will say that People from Philly are actually alright, until they start talking about sports.

But Pat Burrell
*takes deep breath to remain calm*
can go to hell. He was a scumbag Phillie and now he's a scumbag Giant. If you could get knee cancer, I would wish it on him. But that would be unfair to knee cancer. I don't know why I am so irrationally hate-filled towards that guy, but I am.

So when it comes down to it, my hate allegiances lie this way:

1. Pat Burrell
T2. Phillies
T2. VaGiants
4. Knee Cancer

spank said...

Fuck all Y'all. I'm going rogue up in this bitch.

Josh S. said...

They probably wouldn't have a charity bike ride for knee cancer research.

spank said...

Siding with the Gnats. That is the most disgusting thing a Dodger fan can ever even think about let alone going through with it. It's vile!

rbnlaw said...

Well. Looks like Orel will have to rearrange the seating and table assignments for the next SOSG get-together.

Kyle Baker said...

"If you could get knee cancer, I would wish it on him."

Great line.

Then we'd have plastic wristlets that read "I [heart] kneecaps".

Nostradamus said...

Wouldn't a bike ride benefit for knee cancer be a bit insensitive? Wouldn't you be up shit creek without a patella, so to speak?

Eric Karros said...

I'll root for anyone before the Yankees.
