Finally, something to keep our minds off the World Series. Yao Ming and Aaron Brooks take on Derek, Pau, Lamar, Ron, and some other guy whose name escapes me.
Where amazing happens? Like, three-peat amazing? We'll see, starting tonight.

GO FAB!
Miami Heat look bad. Who could've thought that bringing LeBron, Wade and Bosh together would not work out initially?
It's still anybody's game, and I'm not surprised that it'd take some time for the Heat to figure out how to play with each other.
LeBron turning it on
miami down by 11 with three minutes left to go
can't wait for lebron's next special: The Next Decision
Decision 2: Decision Harder.
hey look, boise state is beating up on another cream puff
(yawns)
Decision 2: Do Over
3 point game.
Laker season opener GT? I guess this is what we do between rounds of the puzzle championship.
Yeah, the Heat is coming back...
Gotta charge up the hate for tomorrow, EK.
Who's going to take the last shot for Miami? I say Wade is going to defer to Lebron.
Six point lead for BOS with 0:49
And Boston wins.
Go Lakers!
Epale Karina! Go Lakers!
How funny that the Lakers' massage therapist is awarded his ring to coldplay's "fix you".
Lakers Baby!
Odom scores the first points of the 2010-11 season.
Ron Ron!
Frijole!
Caracter must be good if he's Phil's first option with Odom in foul trouble.
Caracter should be coming out pretty quick.
Ron Ron had his shot blocked by Yao like 5 times during that sequence.
In what quarter will Yao break his foot?
Watching these games, I realize I don't know any NBA players, and it's mostly the American players. I used to know every player after watching them for 3-4 years in college.
One guy I wished I didn't know about was Chase Buddinger. That guy is wack.
the least they could do with that HP/Dr Dre ad would be to sync up the beat with Dre's head nod
Kevin Martin is an underrated player. Really great outside shooter.
I hate Phil Jackson.
Yes, but does he keep those rings in boxes?
He gets to sleep with Jeannie Buss every night.
Kobe is already grasping at his finger.
=(
FB's homey with a basket.
I would have taken a charge against Cheryl Miller.
Ron Ron putting up threes' like he's Kukoc
Ron Ron missing threes' like he is Ron Ron.
Good to see D Fish worked on his J this offseason. We need Blake to play more and save the old man for the playoffs.
Matt Barnes with a key rebound! Rockets by two.
Oh man, Skyline looks horrible.
I've seen more of Pedro Guerrero today than I did during the entire Dodger season.
Fuck Yeah! Brown
Lakers in the lead 88-86!
Shannon good.
FUCK YEAH SHANNON BROWN!
Shannon Brown!!!
Sorry I'm late up in dis bish. Late night at work then a HOA meeting. Glad to see there's a two-time defending World Champion Los Angeles Lakers Game Thread!
(cries, but from Lakers pride)
I cannot stress just how much I prefer Blake to Farmar.
What is up with that logo jumping on the scoreboard (over the team abbreviation) before the points are recorded? Is that new?
Yao Ming looks like he is struggling with his balance.
Mr LA SC, as someone who didn't watch the Lakers to closely last year, why Blake > Farmar?
BROWN AGAIN!
Shannon Fucking Brown!
FUUUUUUUCK YEAHHHHH!
Dude is on fire.
Because Blake is so much smarter and more efficient than Farmar. Farmar couldn't shoot a three to save his life, always dove for a ball, couldn't pass, and never ran good routes off the ball.
I like Shannon.
It should be noted:
Can't spell (Miami) Heat without the H-A-T-E.
Good commercial for Force Unleashed 2: is it any good? Never played 1.
Blake's ears aren't as big as Farmar's, though
Blake is really gaunt, however. So he's got that going for him.
Khlodum!
I'll be damned, the boys really poured it on in the fourth.
Can't really see how that "no whining rule" is employed here in the fourth qtr.
@ Sax
Which is nice.
I'm trying to employ the "no whining" rule here at home as well.
One pt LAL lead, final minute
Rockets by one, 0:50
THAT'S WHY I LIKE BLAKE
Oh, that's why you like Blake.
Got it.
Steve Blake in da Hizzouse
Nice setup there MLASC
Wash yer hair, number four for Houston!
Are Reggie, Cheryl, and Brad Miller all related?
Brad's adopted. Makes Thanksgiving dinners really awkward.
That was an incredibly poorly chosen shot.
Pretty ballsy to go for the block on the three, but there it is.
One game down, 81 more to go.
I'm surprised they went for the tie. If Battier had waited a second it looked like a Rocket was coming free on the perimeter.
Point guard defense! Awesome!
I'm not surprised that Houston wasn't able to execute in the end. I am surprised that Yao Ming's ankle did not fall off.
I guess Houston wanted to play it safe. Which is ironic, because they chose one of the most difficult shots possible.
What is this strange "defense" you speak of, F'man?
Loved Fernando nation. It made me miss the ravine big time.
