COMMENTS: When going up against the defending NL champions and a team which could do no wrong down the stretch, why not send a 4-3 pitcher who came back to the team mid-July and has only started 12 games this season? It's not like Halladay is much of a threat, anyway. Expect a lot of camera shots of Dusty Baker, whittling that toothpick to a sliver.

Luckily, this team of Reds does not resemble the "Big Red Machine" in any way.
I hated those Reds with a passion so 10000-sun-white-hot, that I still think the Hall of Fame is fine without Pete Rose.
