That Old Geek Magic

For those of us whose childhood romance with Star Wars soured around, oh, 1999, it's nice to find new material that rekindles, however slightly, the thrill of a galaxy far, far away. And these promotional posters, from the offical Star Wars website, do just that. The posters are targeted at employees working Disney Hollywood Studios' Star Wars Weekends this summer (in Florida—road trip!). (Click on each image to enlarge.)

The site also has Star Wars Weekends airport advertisements from 2007:

And a set from 2006:

Trust a stormtrooper not to know to take his helmet off before eating ice cream. ;)

In the very last one I would have had a TIE Pilot holding the sign. But that's just me.

Really cool stuff. Although I hate the Ewoks. At least they didn't use JarJar.

I agree with each of PC's three statements.

My favorite is either the stormtrooper ice cream or the Meet Luke Skywalker.

I like the meet Luke picture. Vader's trying to pull a fast one like a little kid.

Vader's gotta keep the saber unlit at least until he gets to the front of the line.

EK, maybe that's exactly how Vader GETS to the front of the line.

It's telling, and sad, how few of the pictured characters are from Episodes I-III.

...and the ones from Episodes I-III are the lamest ones.
