This time it's Eric Milton. From an AP story at the Daily News blog:
Eric Milton is heading back to the big leagues after a nearly two-year absence. The Dodgers purchased the contract of the veteran left-hander from Triple-A Albuquerque after their 5-3, 10-inning win over the Phillies on Thursday.
Milton will start Saturday against the Florida Marlins in place of Jeff Weaver. The Dodgers optioned right-hander James McDonald (1-1, 6.75 ERA) to their Pacific Coast League club [Albuquerque].
The 33-year-old Milton hasn't pitched in the majors since elbow ligament replacement surgery in 2007. The former All-Star is 3-2 with a 2.83 ERA in seven minor league starts.
Does Weaver (last start: 5.0 IP, 3H, 3 ER, 4 BB, 2 K's) hate starting that much or is there something physically wrong with him?

Don't want to give up on J-Mac yet, but dude has to go find his control.
Meanwhile, wassup with Hair Weaver? Maybe we were afraid we'd have to let Milton go. With the scarcity of pitching out there, we might as well hold on to him or dangle him for a new lefty in the pen. I have little faith in Ohlman.
I still don't get why Weaver wont get another start. Do we really need him in the pen?
so now we have 6 lefties on the roster.

When can we replace Mota with ... anyone?
Weaver can still do long relief and the occasional start.
Is Dusto still having green paint problems?
I know Torre likes the idea of having an extra guy in the pen, but Mota really acts as a minus.
Its probably because Torre doesnt like Weaver. Hasnt since Weaver gave up that homerun in the World Series.
For lack of a better place, I will vent my Laker frustrations here. They're killing me right now.
I can't take much more of this Laker game.
so... the lakers season is over.
Go dodgers!!
Nic, don't give up hope. Houston still has to win in LA on Sunday. Good thing that game and the Dodgers don't conflict.
yeah, but what about the nuggets, and cavs. This is not the lakers ive been watching throughout the season.
Still lot's of basketball to be played.
Now i'm really confused what the heck did Manny take?
