Off-Day Scoreboard Watch: Brewers @ Rox, 12p

Aaron Cook (10-6, 4.32) vs. Manny Parra (11-10, 6.16).

Perhaps the Brewers can accomplish what the Dodgers haven't been able to: Winning the 2009 MLB dance squad competition Turning that magic number into a magic celebration. So turn that three-martini lunch into a nine-martini marathon and send the Boys in Blue some positive vibes via Colorado!

Well there goes that little sliver of hope.

MANNY!
MANNY!
MANNY!

It almost seems befitting that all the Dodgers should be at home when Colorado loses so that there can be no clubhouse celebration.

The whole team is in Manny's den right now watching the game Mitch Poole waiting in the wings with the bubbly at the ready. Steve Lyons will be there in a rain slicker and goggles doing live interviews for prime ticket.

So if the rox win tonight to they celebrate the wild card win? Or are they waiting for the possible division win to celebrate?

Crappity-crap-crap.

Oh well. This weekend will be exciting, at least.

Their Manny is doing about as well as our Manny.

MLB Network is banking on us losing tomorrow

They're televising our saturday game vs colorado.
hopefully we clinch on friday so that game is meaningless

oh and since colorado is gonna win today, they won't celebrate because they still have a shot at the West.

So if we do clinch sometime this weekend, Dodger Stadium gets a double celebration

Nice. Ryan Braun makes a tiny dent.

how many of the Diamond Dancers has Bernie Brewer made time with?

NicJ said...

Well aren't these games meaningless anyways. What's the NL West division title worth? We don't hang those things up in the stadium, we're not the Angels.

On a positive note, at least we won't have to face Aaron Cook this weekend!

Lucky for us the Rockies ate using all of their runs today, suckers.

OK, so who's in for THE BIGGEST GAME OF THE YEAR tomorrow night?

I know Delino's going. I'm in the AYCE Pavilion, right above the Rox pen. (Bad section for meeting up, but they do let us all on the field for the fireworks, right?)

Fred's Brim said...

Josh, If you are looking to take full advantage of the AYCE, I know a great place you can purge before hitting the concession stands again...

Josh S. said...

My only interest in the AYCE is to get what I normally get (maybe a little more) without paying extra money to eat.

Josh-in-his-20's would have been the guy to take FULL advantage of the all you can eat policy.

Ha!

I normally have Adblock on, but I have it off right now and noticed that because of our repeated use of Sherrill, Belisario, and Belliard's nicknames, one of the Google ads on the main page says "1 Tip for a Flat Belly".

I saw an ad for a Angels product earlier. I think it was some kind of browser toolbar or something. I had to close my browser and start over to get it to go away

Crikey - Chris Carpenter hit a grand slam today. We can barely get hits out of our everyday players

JuanLove said...

ok so the rox did celebrate in the locker room

i'm kinda confused. yeah they clinched a playoff birth, but they still have a shot at the west.
why celebrate now?

if they sweep us, do they celebrate again?

JuanLove said...

but then if they didnt celebrate and we win the west, they would have to do it after a loss

just weird stuff all around

Some of those Brewers Dancers aren't half-bad.

They're no Marlins Mermaids, however.

NicJ said...

Can we beat the hung over Rockies tomorrow?

Clint Hurdle on the MLB network talking about how the rockies made a run after he left, Priceless.

hahaha.
