SoSGlee!
Hope these guys pitch fast - let's get the game in!
*settles into sofa*
Wow! A ball didn't carry out of the RF at Yankee stadium - for once.
Can't stand Burnett, I hope he gets shelled.
I'll be damned, but that is a catchy version of that catchy song that I positively can't stand.
I think it has something to do with that douche Steve Perry. Hey Steveo, still believing in them Gnats?
Yeah, wait till next year.
Jeets bomb makes it 2-0 Yankees. A lot of ghost-vanquishing going on this postseason.
I can't stand that guy.
Lost Angels just can't get anything going. They better, and soon, or this one is in the bank for Yank-mes. Can't go 2-0 to these fellas.
1. The Lost Angels look, well, lost. No spunk; no fire; nothing against Burnett.
2. The Buffalo Wild Wings in Buena Park is marginal at best. Spotty service; took forever to get my beer. I asked the waitress if the bartenders needed to look up the recipe for a Bud draft.
She laughed. Her tip reflected my feelings.
@rbn
You were saying?
@Mr. C.
See, I was trying to light a fire under these guys. Burnett is not THAT good. Now they're showing it.
The Angels really need to plate another here or it's trouble from here on out.
V. Guerrero: Rally Killer.
Angel fans holding their monkeys at Yankee Stadium look. . .out of place.
Wild pitch; Aybar scores; tied up.
Lucky Vlad had not already struck out.
Tie game! Now lets let this stand for another 15 innings or so.
Guerrero will be lucky to sign with the Cape Cod League after this season. He's pushing harder than post-suspension Manny.
@Mr. C.
i second that emotion.
RBN:
Did that Don Jose restaurant in Buena Park finally go under? Mrs. Dusty wanted to know.
DB,
Where is it? I only know the one in Fullerton.
Losing power. Must sign of. . .
Vlad Ks swinging (of course) with the bases loaded. Still a tie game.
E-Jeter! After his home run earlier, McCarver lectured everyone who thought he was losing his range. Like that has to do with his fielding.
All-righty then.
McCarver seemingly oblivious that it's a tie game.
I hate the Yanks, but I love watching Rivera pitch. That was awsome.
Thx for indulging me, Orel.
Yanks have the winning run at third, two out....
Walk the bases loaded? Or pitch to Robinson Carusoe?
Very nice by Jepsen.
A game of inches and/or seconds! Wow. Hope this one doesn't get rain delayed.
That Jepsen kid is a stud.
Reading an article on MSNBC.com about True Blue Tattoo in Los Feliz. Says that the most popular tattoo is not the LA symbol, not the stadium, etc. It's VINNY. That just cracks me up.
"Fisted" needs to be removed from the lexicon of all baseball commentators.
That can't be an easy tattoo. Wonder if they have a template.
"That ball is fisted into the three-hole!"
I'm ready for tomorrow. Let's hope the Stankees and the Angels are too.
You guys talk about Kim Ng interviewing for Padres job today?
http://twitter.com/SI_JonHeyman/statuses/4956479805
@PC - I heard, but according to Heyman, it's unlikely.
Saw that,PC. Hate to see her leave but understand that she wants to move up.
That said, other word I heard was that she was a longshot at Padres.
MLASF - I hope she stays in LA. Someone's gonna eventually give her a shot.
She's a beast in arbitration, and if the McCourt McVorce costs Colletti his job, I'd like her to get it.
MLASF- Yup. That would be nice.
I've seen someone with a Vinny tat before. It was a giant, bulbous Vinhead. I mean, it was done well, but it was just...a whole lotta Vin upside yo face. I love how these 385 lb thugstas get Vin tats.
I've never seen Scioscia run that fast in my life.
What do you think? Bullshit call?
The umps always call that out. They must really want to get out of the cold.
That no-call at second was BULLSHIT. The Angels are getting punked by the umps and MLB here.
Aybar wasn't remotely near the base at any point where he had possession of the ball. Ump was right on it. There was daylight between the foot and the bag.
But it's NEVER called. All saying that are right. But the call was technically correct. It's like someone calling walking on Kobe in the game - he walks a lot, but it's never called.
And A.J. Pierzynski was nowhere in sight!
Yeah, they got jobbed there.
Orel, I'm sitting right next to you on the couch, and from my angle, he was out.
Sax, go make some popcorn.
Aybar should know to at least touch the bag with his toe. That way, nothing can screw it up, like some putz umpire.
There's no way they can keep playing in the rain. This thing is getting postponed.
Exactly, MLASF. Aybar has to at least acknowledge that 2nd base exists in some relevant sense, nothing more.
Robothal with a non-update.
This is exactly the game I wanted. It only gets better if it gets postponed.
Mr. C-
We need a lot more sore hammies out of this game, too.
Figgity!
Way to atone, Chone!
Damon = Pierre?
Let's get figgy with it!
Figgettuhboutit.
Good for GMJ, scoring the go-ahead run.
We need this series to go to seven, and everyone gets hit by lightning.
http://bit.ly/p38lS
A little graphic to make Eric Aybar even more pissed.
Now there's no way they stop the game before allowing Yankmes to have a chance to bat in the bottom.
Luckily for Fox, Ken Rosenthal, at his height, is safe.
It's midnight on the east coast. Yay!
Fuentes getting ready...to throw some tallboy Bud Light empties over the outfield fence.
@sax
"struck by lightning"
Hey, the odds only get better the longer they play.
Just sayin'...
Taco Bell: you still haven't explained to me why I need to purchase black tacos, and what their favorable properties are as opposed to the properties of the regular-colored taco.
I hope Taco Bell still does that free taco thing. That's my only incentive for going there.
Free is good, MLASF.
TIE GAME!
That A-Rod, he is not bad.
A-roid to the RF porch.
I still hate that guy, but I'm willing to forgive that one.
I just fisted another glass of pinot noir.
@dusty
Careful with the sharp edges
Another closer bites the dust. I guess that leaves only Mariono and Lidge as the only good closers left. Am I forgeting anyone? I don't think so...
Yep, just Rivera and Lidge.
@MLASF
Street and Nathan are out.
So are Papelbon and Franklin.
Nope, that's everybody!
Mr. C-
Thanks for the tip!
Regards,
J. Beimel
Who'll stop the rain?
Milli vanilli? No, wait, that was "blame it on the rain"
they'd better be careful, or the flood will sweep Robothal away
Robothal: At this point, the rain has not swept me awa - (crash)
Breaking news: Bud Selig has just announced that this game will end in a tie.
Orel, I can't find the popcorn.
Or the beer.
Gotta love AL ball. A new pitcher for every batter!
@dusty
I don't know, but I'll be Looking Out my Back Door to find out.
Robothal's last update was like Eric Dickerson's famous MNF sideline interview. "It's raining, and it's wet."
Angels get a double. Better change pitchers!
I know it's cold, but why is Maicer the only one with a neck warmer?
Is Generalissimo Francisco Franco still dead, Robothal?
To the bottom of the 12th!
Just noted the avatar, MLASF.
Ok, I'm done. Good luck Angels. I'm going to sleep.
100
Sax, it's still early!
@Dusty - And?...
#100?!? Oh no you dih-unt!
@MLASF-
And it's STRONG.
A-Rod up with the bases loaded.
Angels have them set up just where they want them.
Every crowd shot makes me want the Yanks to win a little less. The tables will be turned behind the orange curtain, for sure.
Very nice, Ervin!
And it continues!
Will we keep playing?
It looks like the rain has somewhat tapered off. Or am I just de-sensitized to a monsoon?
Oh Cano!
Can't-o
Cano? No, you can't!
why can't I find this on my time warner package? What channel is it on?
They just said the rain has tapered off. Come on, 15 innings, fights that lead to suspensions, and a lot of sore hammies!
Brandon-
It's on FOX.
@Brandon
it's on plain old Fox.
@Dusty
Whooping cough for everyone!
thanks dusty. I flipped through every channel. Must have been a commercial when i was on FOX.
Posada caught that one in the Hollidays.
Mr. C-
Maybe A-roid's gout will flare up. Jeter gets ricketts.
The announcers are so critical of Jeter. Really, it's unfair.
God, that swing just looked uncomfortable.
"Goiter" is (un)funny, too.
We keep playing in Da Bronx
@dusty
The French Pox rounds out the top 5.
Is the French part funnier, or the pox part? Can't decide.
@dusty
The whole is greater than the sum of it's parts
Alright Jankees, I know you can find a way to screw this up!
You gotta believe!
Santana almost pulled an Utley.
ack
That wasn't the play he was looking for.
That's what the Yankmes can do to you. Every time.
Or make you do to yourself.
Ouch
So, up 2-0, do I want the Yanks to sweep through and have a long layoff to get rusty, or do I want the Angels to come back and win the next few in Anaheim?
Izturis should get the pie.
Mr. C-
That's a tough one. Our household keeps going back and forth. I guess we need Los Anaheim to get one or two back to at least make Yanks run through even more pitcher than they did tonight.
I'mma pull a Sax and head to bed early on a Saturday night.
Get that whooping cough looked at!
I'm out.
I can't believe I watched the whole thing!
I don't really like that A-Rod fella, but that slow-mo shot of him hitting the homer in the rain was MONEY.
That game left me a disgruntled old man.
