After last night's win, the Phillies are up on the Rockies two games to one. First pitch for Game 4 is at 3p. Which team do you want the Dodgers to face in the NLCS? Vote in our sidebar poll!

My heart says vengeance series against the Phillies in which we blow them out. But my head says the Rockies, who the Dodgers dominated all season.
Phillies, for the opposite reason as HLaCK. Regular season domination didn't work out for the Cards, so it probably wouldn't for us either. Plus, I'm betting our guys play like crap in sub-freezing temps. Philly gets cold, but not Denver cold.
And who doesn't want to see Matt Stairs try to hit 2009 Broxton? (Or Breezy or Kuo, for that matter.)
I don't want the dodgers to play in the snow.
Philly gets my vote.
I want the Phillies so more games will be at a reasonable time for east-coasters.
Either way I think you have to pull for the Rockies today. Then you keep Cook or Hamels from starting Game 1 against the Dodgers and they have to put Jimenez or Lee on short rest in Game 2.
i hate rooting for Rocktober Fest, but got to today
I'd rather have Pedro/Happ/Blanton/Hamemel/Marquis starting game 1 than Lee/Hammels/Cook/Ubaldo
lol "Hamemel"
you guys know what I mean...
Check out the Denver 10 day forecast. Its not going to be THAT bad. Cold at night for sure, but not going to snow.
'88 Dodgers Cresting A Hill, I was just about to say the same thing. I'm trying not to pick who I'd want the Dodgers to play, because I'm superstitious as all hell when it comes to this sport, but I want both teams to have to play as many games as possible. So, tonight, I'm a Rockies fan.
Don't ask me what happens if the Rockies win tonight. I'll just skip tomorrow night's game entirely and leave it up to fate (because otherwise, obviously, what I do affects the outcome of the game).
We need to be rooting for 5 games, 15-18 innings each, tired, depleted bullpens, soreness (not injury, cause that would be unsportsmanlike!), furstration between Phillies and Rox, then come in and mop up no matter who we eventually draw.
Listening to MLB Home Plate on XM. Larry Bowa is on. Speaking of how when acquiring Padilla, Torre's main concern was clubhouse chem, and Bowa told him he never had any problems when he had him in Philly. Says a lot about how Torre manages the club. Also Bowa talked about how Blake and Flat Brim Reaper are unsung glue guys that are huge pieces of the puzzle, on the field and off.
Unsung glue,
Everybody knows one!
Who cares at this point who we play? I mean don't we have to go in feeling like the superior team?
We lost a couple games last year on a thin margin which swings either way and we are a more complete team this year than last.
Meh. No preference. I mean aside from playing the Yank-mes in the WS.
I want the Phillies to win tonight. I want them to win easily and only use two pitchers. If we are going to be the World Champions then we should be able to beat everyone fully rested. If we can't do that then we don't deserve to win it all. I have faith that our team can hold their own against all contenders. Bring it on!
Phillies! Don't want the Boys to freeze in the Colorado snow!
Victorino sends one deep in first. Will someone please throw at him?
Gonzalez: en fuego.
"Will someone please throw at him?"
I might know a guy.
Looks like another long afternoon in Denver, unless one of these pitchers finds a groove.
The StubHub fairy just informed me I'll be attending NLCS Game 2, for a reasonable fee.
Last night's game felt like the longest game every played. I was actively angry at it. If I wanted to watch games that last that long, I'd watch more AL games.
Mr. C- What did you have to put under your pillow to get that reward from the SH Fairy?
@db
The SH fairy prefers legal tender. Fortunately, I had some at my disposal.
OMG. I'm SUCH a clown. Bob Dylan was at Berkeley this weekend and I had no idea. How do I always miss these things?!?!?!?! UGH. That killed my Monday... and probably my entire week.
"Jim Tracy's close to arguing for the cycle." Nice line!
Does it make it a cycle if he disputes a call at every base? Maybe. Does he think it will be effective? Probably not.
Jiminez gets out of the jam, but is now on 65 pitches thru 3.
Ubaldo wriggles out!
Is 65 pitches too many? Probably. Will he be pulled soon? I think we have to see how he does.
"Did we maybe take him out of his comfort level a little bit? It's possible," Tracy said.
-ESPN article on today's lineup/Torrealba.
Dodger-killer Hawpe sitting for 2nd straight game. I guess they're saving him for if they advance to face us.
I figured this blog needed more Rockies support, so there's a new post up top cheering for the Rockies to win Game 4...
Aight. I'll power down and jump over to that one.
