Jason Schmidt (2-1, 4.50) vs. Braden Looper (9-5, 5.03).
COMMENTS:
1. Will the Brewers retaliate? Your move, Brewers pitching staff. Will it be war or peace?
2. Can we predict that Jason Schmidt will continue to be unpredictable? Everyone thought he was going to bomb in his last start. Instead, he twirled six scoreless innings against the Braves. Who knew? Not us.
3. Is Manny back after last night's home run? He doesn't have to bop another homer to convince us, but another 0-for or 1-for performance won't be very reassuring.
4. Will I eat a chili-cheese Dodger Dog in the press box tonight? Normally I wouldn't think twice about it, but I had pizza last night. A Dodger blogger doesn't keep his girlish figure just by sitting around watching Dodger games, you know!
5. Will 100SS come down to the wire? Tonight is Game 9, and Mr. LA Sports Fan made a huge push in last night's Jackie Johnson-themed Game Thread. I'm looking over my shoulder!

UPDATE 4.35p, from SoSG Sax: Okay, explain this, you AccuScore idiots:
How can we be the favorite to win the game (top bars), yet projected to score 0.1 fewer runs (lower left corner)? Doesn't the team with the most runs win the game?

We just got wireless back in the press box. What'd I miss?
and you need to give me the assist.
Damn, MLASF. There's still one more game left!
You know that Orel will not do a post game thread until this thread gets to 300.
Yes, tomorrow shall be the day of decision. And luckily for you, I won't be home until 9.
MLASF, you would have been a formidable foe for SOSG March Madness
This game blows..............
Broxton really needs to work out the rust.
Yeah, Broxton in with a three-run deficit. Seems wrong.
Craig Counsell continues to haunt.
zzzzz
Like Manny, Felipe Lopez has his back pocket inside-out.
Broxton should be ready for the Atlanta series at least.
Hoffman owes us from Monday.
At least I won't have to spend time looking for quotes from tonight's heroes.
It seems like it is taking forever to get to the 70 win benchmark.
That does it.
Time of death: 10:07
Go into the clubhouse and flip over the spread Orel.
Wow, this isn't good
One of Schmidt's problems was that he threw pitches Martin couldn't handle.

Well I am off ladies and gents! Its been fun, too bad the Blue Crew couldn't pull through tonight. I will take my aggression out on a bunch of accountants tomorrow night in my softball league game.
See, I knew MLASF would get the 200.
I should get like 20 bonus points for being prophetic.
Post-Game Notes are up.
