To nobody's surprise, Tim Lincecum was masterful, going 8 2/3 strong innings. But in the ninth, the Dodgers benefited from yet another questionable call in this series, taking advantage to tie it at two.
However, an already overextended bullpen couldn't keep the Dodgers in it. Guillermo Mota, the seventh pitcher used by Joe Torre today, served up an 0-2 meatball to Juan Uribe, who knocked it out of the park for a walkoff two-run homer.
The Dodgers go 2-1 in this series, which was always the most realistic positive scenario. Next up is a trip to Chase Field in Arizona. Kershaw vs. Haren
tomorrow Friday night. It doesn't get any easier!
