Game 34 Thread: May 12 @ Phillies, 4p

MANNYWATCH: 46 GAMES

Clayton Kershaw (1-2, 4.91) vs. Chan Ho Park (0-1, 6.67).

COMMENTS:

Owner: Take this object, but beware it carries a terrible curse!
Homer: [worried] Ooooh, that's bad.
Owner: But it comes with a free Frogurt!
Homer: [relieved] That's good.
Owner: The Frogurt is also cursed.
Homer: [worried] That's bad.
Owner: But you get your choice of topping!
Homer: [relieved] That's good.
Owner: The toppings contains Potassium Benzoate.
Homer: [stares]
Owner: That's bad.

The Dodgers face Chan Ho Park today.
That's good.
But they have to face the rest of the Phillies as well.
That's bad.
Russell Martin is heating up.
That's good.
But Rafael Furcal is still slumping.
That's bad.
Although not as much as Jimmy Rollins.
That's good.
The Dodgers are 1-3 since Manny got suspended.
That's bad.
But the Phillies are barely over .500 at 15-14.
That's good.
The Giants are only four games behind the Dodgers.
That's bad.
But the other NL West teams are at least 8.5 games back.
That's good.
I don't know how to end this.
That's bad.

Anyone else gets that much on a hanging slider and the ball is out.

Fucking absolute garbage. 2 runs against Chan Ho Park. Are you kidding me? We will be lucky to go 20-30 without Manny.

well matt, we are on pace of 10-40 so that 20-30 is looking pretty good.

Plus, its the NL west.

I was saying Boo-urns

HAHA.

lets hope the lakers lift us up tonight.

LOL! You're dead on right Nic j, 10-40 is probably more like it. Kemp is completely back to the Matt Kemp of last year (only with more strikeouts), our 1B, C, and LF have a grand total of 0 homeruns, and show no signs of hitting any anytime soon, Ethier looks so tenative up there it is like he is afraid of the cameras. Whatever hope I had I have completely lost post-Manny.

Wow, Matt. Stay away from the sharp objects tonight.

Look, it may just be watching the Lakers romp this evening (up by almost thirty at half), but the way I see it, we're 0-1 in the games that count (non NL-West teams). SF is going to win tonight since they're playing the Nationals (getting them to three games back of our Dodgers), but their pythagorean xW-L has then two more games behind that, so they're playing over their heads. And then they get four against the Mets this weekend (albeit at home).

This season is far from over.
