Why Bruce Bochy Isn't Managing the Dodgers

Via Diamond Notes comes this quote from Giants manager Bruce Bochy:

"That's a talented ball club there," Bochy said. "You've got a player like Juan Pierre who can replace him. That's a good player. They lost an impact player, but they’ve got talent throughout their lineup. … With the club they have, they're still the team to beat. … I don’t think it changes the dynamics in our division that much."

Do we start the "free Xavier Paul" petition before Pierre starts popping it to second.

Zito IS right. Before Manny signed with LA a lot of people didn't know who was going to win that division. I'll give SF some props though, the pitching is okay there.

Too bad the Giants are full of a bunch of Juan Pierres (14 HR, 91 R through 26 G)
