Clayton Kershaw (2-3, 4.32) vs. Ubaldo Jimenez (3-5, 4.25).
COMMENTS: Dodger fan? Laker fan? Fan of both? No matter where your Los Angeles loyalties lie, today's your day. This afternoon the Dodgers go for their second series sweep of Colorado after outscoring the Rockies 23-7 in their first two games. And tonight the Lakers go for a 3-2 series lead over the Nuggets in the Western Conference finals.
And if that isn't enough to make you cancel all your meetings, lock yourself in with your television and/or computer and order a pizza, consider this: The Dodgers have not lost when playing on the same day as a Lakers-Nuggets playoff game. Sorry, Colorado, it's nothing personal.
For you lid junkies, don't expect to find those cool hats pictured above. The first one was a 2008 Rock 'n' Jocks exclusive. Only a total of 30 were made. The second went on sale at Undefeated at the beginning of the year, but isn't currently listed on their site.

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 316 of 316Hmmmm I went back to Spock's Beard mode and we go ahead.
Hmmmmmmmm
Does that mean I can Clint Howard mode or Anna Kornikova mode, or stash them away temporarily?
munch munch munch
Watching the pFX on Bellisario is a good indicator of why post-humidor Coors is still a pitcher's park. At Dodger Stadium, Belly is getting up to 15" of movement on his fastball. At Coors, he is getting half that.
Embree in now. Do we go up another 6 runs?
Lets see Andre continue his progress today by sending an Embree heater out.
OK, I guess Embree had other things in mind.
So. For how much longer do we think Castro maintains this pace?
APADACA!!!
Beard Mode is doing a rather good Pujols Mode impersonation lately.
If the Furcal injury is worse than they're letting on, Castro's going to need to keep up this pace.
I wonder if anyone actually reads the reports on Pierre that show he hits lefties better than righties?
For as long as possible!!! Seriously though, he is a 14 year vet. I wonder it too.
bloop single for the beast. another rbi.
Juan Pierre=NL MVP.
Josh - If Furcal's injury is worse than they are letting on, they need to bring DeWitt up.
BTW, why the hell did Belly hit?
Are you sure Juan Pierre isn't from Brazil?

Belly's going to stay in, I guess.
DeWitt would not be my first choice as a back up SS
How long is Furcal current contract? Aren't we paying him 10 Million per year?
Hey Belly has a nice inning.
Belisario is getting better the more time he spends on the big leagues.
Good, i leave the game tied and when i come back it's Dodgers 8-3.
Neeebs: Three years.
Hong - DeWitt wouldn't be the backup, he would be the starter. He is absolutely raking at ABQ, and it isn't because he has hit a ton of HR in the thin air.
Neeebs - Furcal's contract is 3/30 with a mix of deferred bonus and staggered yearly pay rates.
Wow, had to step away there for a second...James Loney is a stud! Bases-clearing double in the seventh...wow!
Another come-from-behind effort (I won't say victory and risk the jinx). I know it's Colorado, but it's nice to see the Dodgers do what they're supposed to do.
rbnlaw, I just saw your "i will not resort to trickery for 200...200" comment. LOL.
King James is on a hot streak right know, if he doesn't hit, at least he seems to have very good at-bats often.
hey all you guys mentioning long-ass websites: tinyurl, baby. tinyurl.
Wow. Street seems to have really gotten his nasty back.
Martin 0-for-5 with 2Ks. Ouch.
3 more outs, fellas
Tough day to be a Qubecki catcher.
be back at half-past, dudes
Thanks Sax.
Is Belly closing this up or was someone else warming up?
3 innings for Belly?
Nope! Here comes Willow Man!
Uggh on Furcal's contract.
He's not the same Furcal.
Qubecki? Do you mean Quebequois?
Torre drives me batty sometimes when he comes out with the hook after a single. Then again, I'm not a manager.
Josh - I still can't quite figure why Torre left him in even for the 1 batter. I suppose he wanted to wait to go to Ohman until after the RHB.
Oh Man.
Wow. Is Joe already yanking him?
Who's coming in? Brox?
No lead is safe at Coors Field...3 outs left
Ox Mode.
Lets close this out Brox.
Damn. Ox is throwing 98 and painting. He just gets better.
Any chance we blow the Cubbies out tomorrow so Brox can get the day off?
I'd like to see him get some more national exposure this weekend.
What the hell was that Jon? This guy is the back up back up catcher up from AAA. Just gas him.
OK, who thought that was an insurance run in the top of the 9th?
Nice going OH-MAN!
Hmmm, Loney's RBIs coming in handy....
Wow. What an awful call by the umpire.
A walk. Runners at first and second. Getting ugly, c-mon Brox!
Seriously. Broxton's zone is really getting squeezed.
C'mon, Brox!
I blame Joe Torre for the awful 9th so far, he couldve left Bellisario in.
Ohman isnt a closer.
Great one swing can end this thing, thanks Brox.
What is it with Brox & Day games, last time was against the Phillies
Oh my goodness. Broxton struck out Fowler and they didn't call the pitch. This is bad.
Bases loaded for the Rockies and just one out. Too interesting for my taste.
Time for desperate measures, time for Clint Howard Mode.
this game should have been a laugher.
Torre really mis-managed this game.
he is really pathetic and handling the bullpen.
Come on BroX.
:|
like i've said many times, this game has heartbreack written all over it.
ugh.
i mean heartbreak
K's Tulo!
ONE MORE OUT!!!
:\
Remember when Ox made Tulo look like a little leaguer at Dodger Stadium?
He just did it again.
*exhales a little bit*
Broxton vs. Helton for all the marbles!
Come on Brox.
Oh great...here comes the world's thickest goatee.
Damn, this is a little reminiscent of a few years ago.
Steiner is too much to take in these spots.
This situation is WAY to reminiscent of 2007.
wow
I Hawpe this doesn't end in tears.
C-mon Brox, dude, one out
damn!
too many pitches, are they pinching him at the plate?
CRAP CRAP CRAP.
Brad Hawpe to pinch hit.
Base hit probably ties the game.
Let's see what Brox is really made of.
PHEW
Pe - ricken hew
And now their best hitter is up. Great.
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HAWWWWWWWWWwww
ABOUT DAMN TIME!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank goodness for groin pulls!
YAY!!
Castro!
Balok Mode wins it.
That was way too close. But except for our bullpen, was a pretty good game. A sweep of the rockies. Sweet. Go blue!
cmon Brox, finish this and let's get some deep dish pizza
That was exciting!
back to work now...
that was a terrible pinch hit AB! How the hell do you swing at the 1st pitch when the pitcher seemingly can't find the plate. That was a gift.
Though I prefer Anna Mode.
yes Yes YES! thank you Brox!
T. Helton, in play (outs)
I really really want Ganeday isn't playing with my heart.
Well that was exciting.
Although Greedo Mode is good, too.
Put this one in the "Ugly, but we'll take it" pile.
Belly did fine today, as King James and the Beast.
Go Blue! swept series!
Way to give me an effin' panic attack at work brox.
crazy ending in Baltimore. 8-8 going into extras. Toronto gets two runs in the top of the 11th, and then Nolan Reimold nails a walk-off three-run shot in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game, 12-10. Wow.
Hong - To be fair to Hawpe, that was a heater in the zone.
Baltimore sweeps the Jays!
Okay, I gotta close this bar for an hour and clean up a bit. See you guys in about an hour for the Lakers GT.
I was listening, so I just imagine the situation. I'm not sure if Hawpe is a good 1st pitch hitter, or if he was looking for a pitch in there to drive right away. It just seems that in this kind of late-game situation one would exercise patience.
Alright, back to work.
See y'all later.
Post-Game Thread up!
Colorado Rockies should be always competitive enough to keep pace with the others. I really like them; they’ve always been my favourite teams in MLB. Just read about them here: http://www.rockieshome.com
