According to Vin Scully, Andre Ethier Is in Good Company

Bob Timmermann, this one's for you. From tonight's game:

So one out and here's Andre Ethier. That's a strike. Ethier struggling, hit into a double play, struck out twice, now oh-for-eight in the series.

It happens to all of them. I'll never forget St. Louis, we were talking to you earlier about the great Stan Musial. I actually remember one night in St. Louis the crowd booed Stan Musial.

That's a fly ball to Beltran.

I mean, can you imagine? You know, Stan was struggling, like Ethier. And the crowd booed him.

The next day, there was an ad in the paper. Several fans had chipped in to get a full-page ad in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch to apologize to Stan Musial for all the other fans who booed him.

They all go through it.

Here's Russell Martin....

Ethier's no Musial. But then again, no one is Musial.

Except for Musial of course

There was Stan "The Man" Musial.

Now there's Andre "No Pictures Please" Ethier.

Doesn't have the same ring.

He'll find his swing. Hopefully before Manny comes back.

There are advantages to not following the Dodgers as closely as I have in years past. One of them is that I still believe Andre Ethier has a lethal bat at all times. (I think.)
