Don't look now, but here's today's puzzle:

And here's a version without the distracting background:

Hint #1 (10:16am): Pretend you're blind and feel your way through it.
Hint #2 (1:47pm): It may help to read the 3rd stanza (lines 9-12) aloud.
Hint #3 (2:40pm): Clearer version of poem posted.
Puzzle Rules: The answer to the puzzle is a current or former Dodger. Comment freely in the thread, but if you have the solution, please don't give it away to everyone in the comments section. Instead, do the following:
- Email us with the first and last name of the answer, along with your reasoning (answers arrived at via luck or the wrong reasoning, even if correct, count for participation credit only). And please include your screen name somewhere in the email; and

You had me at Blind Drunk.
However, I'm in a conference all day so will have limited ability to try to solve.
Is it really an off day today? Must check this "calendar" thingy more often.
answer sent! also now feeling drunk after staring at that...
In the least surprising news of the century, Ubragg is correct!:
1. Ubragg
Dusty, is there a dial-in for your conference? If so, please share here, I'd like to listen in.
Pat Burrell was never a Dodger
oh it's not supposed to be a blind drunk Dodger?
ooh yes - let us dial in!
I promise not to say "bababooey" more than twice
I'm thinking it looks much more like a hefeweizen or some summer wheat beer than an amber ale. I can't seem to get past that.
Crap, I totally figured out the method, but I couldn't finish before work. I'll have to jump in at lunchtime.
Steve D - I hear you, though I wanted to ensure there was enough chromatic contrast with the lettering.
Where's that dial-in, Dusty?
Damn. Not gonna be able to do this one either...
Hmmm...solve the puzzle, or have a beer? Tough decision.
Had a bit of a breakthrough, but I have a meeting.
I'll work on my middle of the pack status later.
Answer sent.
This is one of those puzzles where if you've got it, it takes a few minutes. I don't have it...
Jason is in, Mr C you've basically solved the puzzle but you must have messed up the very last step:
1. UBragg
2. Jason
Waiting for a hint because I'm just that lazy. I have what I think is the key to the whole thing, but I can't quite figure out how to apply it.
There are steps to this puzzle? Sorry, I'll be waiting for hints.
Well, there's not really steps. Just 1 step, than one last step. So that's 2 steps I guess, but not really. More like one overall step to solve the puzzle, then maybe one last conculsionary step to answer what you've solved.
Hope that helps.
EK,
Yeah, I think I counted one *REDACTED* I shouldn't have.
Answer re-sent.

This is one of those weird ones where I know what I have to do, but can't seem to actually do it for some reason. Oh well.
