COMMENTS: One day, perhaps a few months from now, I'll realize that even a meaningless regular-season game can be something to look forward to. However, I do not feel that way today. Is it bad that I'm looking forward to this weekend's Padres-Giants matchup more than anything the Dodgers are doing? Ugh.

As lovely as the movie was, it didn't do the graphic novel justice.
WE WIN WE MAKE PARTY!
You see MB. It was meant to be.
YAY! this elimination gives CarGo time to get a very well deserved rest so he can play in December with Aguilas :)

^Comment of the night, spanks
I'm dying over here.
I don't know what you mean with sharktopus. Should I look for it at urban dictionary?
Spanky on the loose again! Someone warn his neighbors!

@ Karina
Just look under lame movies by the "SYFY" channel. Or look at last nights GT.
A sharktopus is exactly what it sounds like.
I miss David Cone. This league was better with him in it.
Oh Karina. Not every unfamiliar reference made here is dirty and needs to be looked up at urban dictionary. Sure, 90% of them are, but occasionally some are fun for the whole family.
I have Ultimate Watchmen, the big-ass hardbound slipcase edition, in my bookcase. I loved the comic book.
I did not like the movie. They blew it by not making any of the characters endearing in any way.
I am not looking forward to Watchmen 2. Tell me that's a joke.
I didn't get it last night. Now I do, after your explanation Spanky and Mr LASF, with a little help from Wikipedia.
I enjoyed "Watchmen Babies in V for Vacation."
sharktopussy is still my favorite bond film.
So, are you saying I have to read the graphic novel?, not that reading and graphic novels are exactly obligations for me.
Back to the Watchmen Babies!
Saxy's first comment in hours and he goes all Poindexter on us.
@Steve Sax I loved the fact the characters were not endearing, but Rorschach, whom I adored.
That doesn't speak well of me :(
I read about Watchmen 2 somewhere and it stuck because it excited me but I could have read a rumor.
or rumour...as in colour or practise, God helps me, I speak American English, though the teacher said "color" is not considered to be wrong.
It's obvious I live in a different world. You all have totally lost me with this Watchmen stuff.
*sips scotch and crawls back under rock
@karina
I must insist that you read the book. You will thank us.
P G T U P
To the PGT!!!!
Oh, and Tulowitzki was only 0-for-5 with 1 K. And 3 LOB. My bad.
Karina,
Not to be critical but what you wrote smacks of Queen's english not American.
Brits - rumour, practise
American - rumor, practice
I used to work for a UK company. It's easy to get the two confused.
