[Photo by Orel; words from Sax] Yes, the Dodgers may be playing the role of doormat for our NL West "rivals" (and I use that loosely given how pathetic we've been of late, against a division we usually dominate). But today, Sax heads to the Stadium with two five-year-olds in tow, ready to show them how the Dodgers have heart. Don't let the Rockies tread on me, Blue!
[Okay, these words are from Orel] Today's game is on tape delay on TV (4p), so don't check this thread if you want to avoid spoilers. Will the Dodgers mount a late-inning comeback? O, the suspense!

So WTF are we supposed to do to follow the game live? No video but we have radio and MLB GameDay, I guess?
Pathetic, MLB and FOX. God forbid you do something for the fans over the corporate interests.
*takes up pitchfork*
Will Kemp mount Loney?
I'm getting the game live from Fox Sports Latin America
Carroll-SS

Here's a recap and some pics from my game experience last night:
http://dustybkrdodgr.posterous.com/
So, it is on radio, yes?
Josh, I would guess it is.
Nice pics Dusty.
Cheers, Greg.
Hey, we traded Dotel to the Rox. We got the best of that trade, regardless of what we get in return.
And it's a win for the Rockies too if they end up making the postseason, as he's ineligible to completely sink them there.
And it could possibly help Rox overcome Jints. Another plus.
Clearly Rox scouts have not seem him "pitch" lately.
Joke's on them.
They blackek out the game in Latin America.
I'd wish I could say the current insult on my mind.
How very last night of us in the first inning.
JUST SAY IT, Karina!
Did you end up going to the Ravine after all, Mr. C?
I ended up on the sofa, Vinny!
I said it, Dusty. Coper heard, but it's not like he's going to tell someone.
I'm quiet because I'm watching the Milan game.
Ellis just had a lead off single.
Dusty, I love your pics from last night. Lovely, though you had a serious face.
How's AC doing, K?
It's hard to believe me with a serious face, but your'e right. Next time Sax or Mr C does a PhotoShop face thingy over me, they will have to make it a serious not a smiley.
@Karina:
My Fox Sports Espanol is showing the Cardinal/Padre game.
But I do get Canal Caracol
Charley again going on about distracting shirtsleeves. Anyone know what he means?
Tulo again. WALK THAT MOTHER F'ER!
Better yet, HIT HIM!
FWIW: Tulo in Chilean slang means DICK.
That guy is good at baseball.
@Neeebs
Definitely, which is why I try to use the term as much as I can.
Not that I wouldn't want him on my team. But as long as he's not, he's a tulo.
Hey, we're only down 6, have a listless offense full of LHWGs, and are already into our own bullpen. WE GOT THIS!
@Neeebs I know, they promised the game last night it was on the schedule.
Fox people are tulos :(
(pardon my french but I'm pissed off)
"Troncoso's work is complete." - Steiner
Oh, indeed it is.
Is Ellis really our best hitter of the last few games? Wow.
*kicks dog*
@Neeebs I have Canal Caracol and a Chilean channel but I never remember its name.
It's Bicentenario day in Chile today, congrats to the family! I read on Twitter it was a great celebration
Ellis is hitting like his life depends on it.
@Karina
It's funny how you curse in ESP then ask for pardon of your FRA.
Dusty, why did Frankie do to deserve a kick?
I just kissed Coper.
Rancho Ardiendo, go Blue!
"In to score is Ellis....nope, that was the third out..." - Steiner
*Drives to Chavez, kicks Steiner in the nads*
Dusty, isn't it what people say in the US to apologize for cursing?
Fox people are mean, evil people.They just made me to curse again.
Can we please stop batting a guy 2nd when he has a .297 OPS in September?
@Karina
Just kidding. The little fellow is sleeping right here next to me on the sofa.
The little fellow is sleeping right here
next to me <==something Mrs Eckstein says a lot
@Karina:
The girls are at the Chilean fest celebrating.
I'm at home finishing my atonement for the sins I committed and the sins that I WILL commit for the next year. I get it all out of the way at once.
@Karina
You are absolutely right re "Pardon my French" colloquialism. It's just funny when you peel away the layers of what it means.
@Neeebs
Atonement surely can't take that long for you. You're as pure as the driven snow.
MONASTERIOS IS THE FUTURE OF THE 6TH INNING!
Am I the only one watching the USC game?
@Neeebs it's Yom Kippur day too, right?. It's a shame both days collided.
@DB:
*looks around to see if he's really talking to me*
Football? What's a football?
Neeebs: I agree with Dusty, you belong to the pure and good brigade.
Says the guy with a Packers avatar.
Oh, I see what you did there, Karina. That was RICH!
@MLASF
I'm with you on the USC game.
Something tells me Neeebs doesn't pay much attention during the Kol Nidre.
SUCK IT, MYCHAL THOMPSON
As Bill Maher would say, enough with the Book of Old Jewish Fairy Tales.
I hear we traded Go-t'hell. Wonderful. Neeebs and I aren't the only ones absolving sins today.
@Dusty - Nobody mentioned the Producers or Spaceballs.
@Dusty Baker I didn't do anything :(
if it was funny to you, it was unintentional
Heh...Spaceballs.
@Karina
I thought you were doing something with your 2:56 comment. Maybe I read more into it than was intended.
Gonna take a nap. I have some house cleaning that needs putting off.
At MLASF:
I'm dyslexic. I thought I was suppose to see Nicole Kidre
@Neeebs when and/or if you read this, I'm glad your girls could celebrate Bicentenario. We couldn't do that in Venezuela, our Bicentanario was in April.
This game is beyond sad.
^Bicentenario
It's sad to see Gameday and the Crying Hawaiian face...I can't quit on the Dodgers
Odelay all!
Kids won both of their soccer games by a 2-0 score, and rbnlaw III (daughter) scored both goals in her game; rbnlawIV (the boy), had another shutout for AC Brea. I'm having a beer and wishing I did not have to go to Irvine just to watch rbnlaw II (older daughter) play volleyball.
(note to karina, that's the one who used to attend St. Anthony HS, but now plays for Cypress HS).
And this, GAWD THE DODGERS SUCK SO BAD.
@Karina:
I'll pass on the good wishes.
That's my boy CarGO!
Rbnlaw, your kids rock!
This game has gone to crap fast.
Go Houston!
My countryman Melvin Mora, the father of quintuplets, has just hit a grand slam.
I don't know if I have to cry or laugh
You know what? I think we all are paying bad karma with this Dodgers season.
Pads up 3-2 top of 7th
Go Brewers, go Pads!
Four years ago today, Jeff Kent hit a home run. Then J.D. Drew hit one. Then Russell Martin. Then Marlon Anderson. Nomar Garciaparra hit one an inning later.
@MLASF
The crazy thing about 4+1 is thinking about Karina's son actually being able to hit a HR these days (even if healthy). My how times change.
Mr LASF, I forgot about it.
those were the hood times, when we were happy and didn't know about we were
^ I started to be a real asshole and type #PEDs at the end of my above comment.
That would have just been assholish.
Ah, the hood times.
^good
Dusty, great minds and all that
For a second, I thought Karina had gone gangsta.
Morales, please don't ruin the great Venezuelan night at Chavez ravine
:_(
me, gangsta? hahahahaha
I wish my boys in blue be dangerous again :(
OMG- is that a football or baseball score?
As if the Dodgers could get a safety.
sadly, it's a baseball score.
for those who care, Mitchell just hit a 2 run homer.
Right now, Morales faces our best hitter *drum rolls*
AJ ELLIS
I don't think AJ can decaslam and get us 10 runs though, we'd need to add more bases and runners.
The game rests on the stout shoulders of Chin-Lung Hu.
he got a walk, David
Now it rests on the stout shoulders of Ryan Theriot.
Anyone going to watch the game now? Just askin'... :D
Well, I would like to see the Russ Mitchell homer.
@Eric
I am known for sports masochism, but even I won't attempt to watch the tape delay of this shitgasm.
I'll ride the high of the Razorbacks win and pretend today never happened at Chavez Ravine.
@Eric if I could, I would.
I hate Fox Sports Latino
Yeah, I cleared out my 4pm-7pm time slot once I saw teh score...
Orel and Sax were clairvoyant today: they predicted the Dodgers were going to be a doormat.
So much for the spoiler role- we should field an all-AAA roster against the Pod Rays to insure the Gints have to look in their rearview mirror once in a while.
Exactly. We should have John Lindsey pitch.
Just got to a place of acceptable reception. My at-game report?
We blow.
@Josh
Reading through comments.
Yes, we were there. This game brought my home record to one game under 500. 3 games under overall.
The Dodgers had about as much heart today as a chihuahua. Way to go, blue.
Only upside of the day was meeting my new favorite reserve level beer vendor, Margie. I'm sold.
I'm late to the party but I see everyone is crying in their beer.
Dodger doormats? More like tied to the whipping post. That's my song for today. Allman Brothers - Whipping Post. "Good lord I feel like I'm dyin".
Dusty, great pics!
New Scoreboard Watching post thread up!
@Dusty, let me add to everyone else by saying: great shots! Looked like a really fun time! You looked great!
