Ted Lilly (8-10, 3.58) vs. Jonathan Sanchez (10-8, 3.29).
COMMENTS: Claude Monet had a beard that even Casey Blake would envy. But that isn't the reason why we've led this GameThread with one of his key impressionistic works. No, with only 16 games left for the season, this is one of few chances left for impending free agent and late 2010 gun-for-hire Ted Lilly to show his stuff.
In eight starts with the Dodgers, Lilly is 5-2 with an ERA+ of 115 (just north of his career average, and basically on pace with his first half of the season with the Cubs). So I'm guessing Lilly pads his resume with a nice outing tonight, winning the series for the Dodgers, whose bats will finally wake up in the rubber match to leave San Francisco reeling.

fuck you MLB.tv, I know my subscription is running out! The season is almost over for chrissakes. You should offer me a deal to come back and watch this terrible team instead of threatening me that the price may go up for next season.

I guess it's just us three, huh. Everybody else wised up and left.
Oops. Make that four.
they all left when I showed up. They could sense my orneryness
We're all ornery whores today, FB.
who has a bigger future at this point: Turtle from Entourage or Russel Martin?
WHORNERY!!!@
I shouldn't be mad tonight. I am heading down for the Duke - Alabama game. I am hoping they keep them under 60
Where's the game at? Duke
yeah. Biggest game Duke has had since Charlie Ward was at Florida State
Are you an alumnus, FB?
There's plenty of ornery to go around. I passed on watching the rest of the beating.
Hey, Link is pitching.
I am. We don't have much to get excited about football-wise so you have to take advantage of games like this
Leonard Nimoy is such a badass.
and now it's time for me to bail. It is way too late for me to be up watching a 10-2 loss.
gnite everybody
was that kemp on the field mic talking about his shoes?
And that's game. One of the more disappointing losses of the season just because it came at the hands of the Giants.

Can we have the offseason yet?
i think for fan appreciation night the dodgers should just cancel the game.
I died a little tonight.
So did karina's optimism.
I had Dodger Talk on while I was driving around trying to get Luke to sleep. Ken Levine spewed one of the biggest pieces of misinformation I've ever heard:
"This is the first year since Ned Colletti took over that the Dodgers won't win at least 90 games."
Nope. Last year was the ONLY year they won at least 90.
2006: 88
2007: 82
2008: 84
2009: 95
I'd call him out on Twitter, but I'm just too damn tired.
If he meant 80, he may be right.
