Clayton Kershaw (11-10, 2.99) vs. Barry Zito (8-12, 4.14)
The Giants sit a mere half-game out of first place in the NL West and are fighting to stay alive, winning seven of their last ten. The Dodgers are throwing minor leaguers galore out there on the field and not playing particularly well, losing seven of their last ten. And now the teams meet for their last head-to-head series of the year, with the season series basically deadlocked (LA has won 7 of 15).
Kershaw, who hasn't had a win since August 17, has had three losses in his last four starts thanks to shoddy run support (no more than two runs in any of the three losses). So why do we think the Dodgers will bury zito? Well, Zito hasn't had a win since July 16, 11 starts ago--and is riding a streak of six straight losses. Let's see what we can do to keep things rolling along.
(Meanwhile, Padres @ Rockies (Garland vs. Hammel) will start at 5:40p PT. With roughly a 90-minute lead, the other game should indicate how desperately the Giants might play tonight...)

Tears of joy Spanky! Taste the tears!
Meanwhile back at the barn my yearlong nightmare of A.J. Ellis continues.....
Running back Robbie Rouse (ankle and shoulder).
Replacing Rouse at running back will be any one of the three running backs on the roster behind Rouse. Fresno Bee's Daniel Lyght said head coach Pat Hill mentioned A.J. Ellis but would not rule out the possibility of Michael Harris and Tracy Slocum getting touches as well.
My words exactly Spanky.
A sweep of the giants and I'll be good for baseball hibernation till next season
PGTUP! I beat Sax!
