Month-Old Cheese!

So, remember SoSG March Madness? Well, we're finally awarding the following prizes to Jason and his lone supporter, Curious Gene. As the actual champion, Jason will have his choice of the following two prizes:

  • Guest Post! Yup, we will let you write a post on SoSG, about whatever subject you choose. It can be a game thread, a post-game thread, a piece on your favorite player, a piece on your favorite anti-aging cream, an at-game recap, an at-home recap, an AT-AT recap, a puzzle, a solution, an appreciation of Deltalina, a general venting, a statistical analysis demonstrating how Brian Traxler was underrated, a photo gallery of your favorite spring flowers, or something else. The only rules are: 1) it can't be (truly) offensive, 2) it can't exceed 1,000 words or contain more than 4 photos, and 3) we (SoSG) get editorial rights and final cut.
  • Magnet Schedule If you're not the writing/sharing/blogging type, we'll send you a nifty magnet schedule instead.

And CG, you get whichever option Jason doesn't want.

So Jason, let us know which prize you want either in the comment or via email, and we'll establish details from there.

Congrats again to both of you!

What a difference a year makes. That's an awesome prize.

Um... I'm going to go with the guest post. And I intent to update my libel insurance now.

Also, good to see the Kia Crew back for one more post.

I hope in his guest post, Jason proclaims himself the newest Son of Steve Garvey.

I was going to guess "I'm getting a magnet schedule". And I was right! Serves me right for my pitiful performance in yesterday's puzzle. I plead red-eye to Chicago. I attempted to work on clues at LAX, and failed miserably.

Curious Gene: At least it's a 2010 Magnet Schedule.

Please send us an email with your mailing address, and I'll have my intern take care of it. Thanks.

@MR. F - Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Maybe a Step-nephew of Steve Garvey.

JaSons of Steve Garvey.

The drop-off between the "cool" prize and the "other" prize seems quite large.

Then again, I suppose we'll all forget about Jason's post after a week while the magnet calendar is good until October.

I am not, in any way, complaining about my magnet schedule. Besides, I'm just going to make a post-length comment when Jason posts.

That's awfully confident of you, Mr. F.

Mr F didn't specify beginning or end of October

Jason, I think you should give a cliff's notes version of War and Peace.

I'm actually surprised Jason's guest post wasn't written and posted immediately after the prize was announced.

MR.F said...

EK, Exactly.

Jason, I'll send you an email shortly to get the ball rolling on your post...

Maybe Jason's post will be about a current member of the Giants!

I was thinking of doing an sort of "at-game" recap of my trip to the Seattle Comicon where I tried to challenge Lou Ferrigno to an arm wrestling match (he wanted $10) and had a conversation with the guy that played Chief Tyrol in BSG that, in hind-sight, was slightly creepy because it occurred at the urinals in the men's room. There weren't enough Star Wars related moments to warrant a full post on SoSG though. Instead, I will retire to my study to contemplate the next Great American Post (translation: I'll be at the bar).

I thought Neeebs' mom was a prize, with second place getting a mint julep.
