NLCS Game 1/2 Schedule: Thursday 4.30p PT Start / Friday 1.30p PT Start

Found this on tbs' site this evening, which seems to indicate a 5p start for Game 1 Thursday, October 15 (TBS coverage starts at 4.30p).

TBS' schedule also slots Game 2 (Friday, October 16) for a 1.30p PT start (TBS coverage starts at 1p). This is consistent with earlier info that the ALCS Game 1 (also on Friday) will kickoff at 4p PT over on Fox.

JL, that why you grow your hair long so it can hide earbuds to an AM radio. Vin is going to be my eyes that day.

One more thing. I know we're got plenty to talk about as it is, but one of the Sons might want to consider posting something about the Arizona Fall League, which kicks off tomorrow. The Dodger affiliate Peoria Javelinas is stocked with 10 Dodgers, including Andrew Lambo.

Josh Bell, now of the Orioles, is also in the league.

Yeah, the 1:30p time blows. Will have to figure out how to deal with that, and fulfill my SoSG reporting obligations...

I should have saved my day off (from a good union job). I still would have been home from work during the ninth last Thursday. Friday's game will finish while I'm at work AND I'll have to go through stadium traffic on my way home.

1:30 PST = 4:30 EST = me busting out of work early and hitting the bar across the street! This is the same bar where I watched the craziness of game two so I hope there's some magic left there

Sets up nicely for FB, but us *West Coast* folks are fucked. Several drawbacks:

1) Sobriety during games. Not recommended.

2) Inability to curse loudly in a work environment.

3) Post-game traffic to navigate.

4) Likely video blackout on MLBTV.

5) Sobriety.

6) If one Tivos the game and avoids the score until one gets home, then one doesn't have the pleasure of following with one's friends on the SoSG GT.

Times is haaaaaard.

agreed DB - this is one of the few times being a Dodger fan on the east coast kind of works out. I am trying to figure out how to get down to the Philly games but every game is on a school night. I am thinking of making a solo run one of the nights and dealing with Philly Phans during the game and then the late drive back after. I can't see how it can work otherwise. Plus ticket prices are astronomical at this point. Maybe they will get cheaper if they lose the first 2-3 games...

I'm sort of bummed out about the early start time, but if it means the kids on the east coast finally get to see a postseason baseball game, then maybe it's not such a bad thing after all.
