Chad Billingsley (11-6, 3.82) vs. Jair Jurrjens (9-8, 2.85).
COMMENTS: Last night's tumultousness helped to perpetuate the alternating win-loss pattern the Dodgers have been holding for the past seven games. Both starters are eager to prove they can go longer than five innings in tonight's rematch of last Sunday's matchup, Jurrjens without getting shelled and Billingsley without cramping up. And the bats are hopefully eager to prove they don't have to rely on walkoffs.
UPDATE: From ESPN's Beto Duran via SoSG reader Nic j: "Jason Schmidt to DL (shoulder) Tony Abreu up from AAA. Kuroda to start Monday, Elbert on Sunday." Thanks, Nic!

Nice job, L*BERT!
I think it just screws you up. You really can't prepare for something like that, though Broxton's been in many other pressure situations before this season.
Or sure, NOW I get 200 (and let it go unclaimed).
Fuck
why cant we gain any ground on the giants.
Fuck + shit
KHAN
game over
and how is this guy better than schmidt?
Let me try that again.
KKKKKKKKKAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHNNNNNNNN
So that's that.
This was a sign that Elbert shouldn't have gotten the start.
This is the same thing that happened to the Giants.
Wait...what the hell happened?!
Ryan Church gets his revenge.
at least jmac looked good tonight.
Did he miss any bases going around?
Not much good came out of this game. Bills hurt his hammy, Broxton can't recover from a fan on the field, Elbert blows, and Ryan Church hates the Dodgers after they made him look like a dumbass. Though J-Mac did look good.
More two-out madness, by the way.
we could easily be in an 0-2 series hole right now.
Do you still have that PGT draft from last night that you had to scrap after the walkoff? Just recycle that.
not a great way for elbert to go into his first start of the year.
Sorry James, "California Love" is lame.
Did Elbert work long enough to ruin his start?
Inglewood always up to no good
Time for our two-out madness.
Should we be freaking out about Broxton yet?
He worked long enough to prove he shouldn't be starting.
only 13 pitches so arm wise probably not.
Confidence wise, definately.
@Josh "Time for our two-out madness."
I.e., making the third out.
@ Orel:
Yes.
@DB:
Shit.
broxton might be a little rusty, or maybe he is mad about the dodgers bringing in another closer.
Vin just made a good point. They could always just put Kuroda out there Sunday as was originally scheded.
TOD: 11:30
If he's mad about bringing in another closer, then he really is fragile.
Sherrill for closer.
MFPGT is up.
no joy in mudville
