Only 50 points for 2nd place? Yikes, tough crowd.

Nostradamus said...

Yeah, somethings fishy with the scoring. Jason and Keven C should have 83 and 67 points for PCS#5. (assuming the median score gets 1/2 value)

Not as far off the leaderboard as I thought I was.

Josh S. said...

Yep. Something is screwy. As much as I would like it, I don't think I deserve 41 points for just commenting in the thread.

Wait a minute...41 points? That's what I got for my puzzle.

Nostradamus said...

I'm really glad I chose a scoring system that could be automated, at this point.

Kyle Baker said...

Perhaps we should do a cost benefit analysis of whether solving the puzzle or just working on it for credit is of the most benefit.

Off Topic:

But...did anyone coin the term "Free Jamie Carroll" yet?

I can't imagine that this fickle crowd would ignore that cry.

I missed the GT yesterday and I'm too lazy to search it.

Kyle Baker said...

@Neeebs

I missed the GT yesterday, too, but just took the time to read the whole thing before I started work.

Indeed, someone did mention freeing Carroll.

I'll review scores

@EK

Not complaining, just self-deprecating...

Eric Karros said...

Josh, I mistakenly carried over your hardcoded 41 from last week as the puzzle creator.

The rest I think is from a bug in the scoring spreadsheet. Will review when I get the chance.

Eric Karros said...

Ok I think bug is corrected...it was awarding only the winner 100 and everyone else 50. And in fact I think the glitch may have impacted last round of scores as well.

Thanks and sorry
-EK

Eric Karros said...

Also corrected previous round of scores.

Kyle Baker said...

This is going to come up in your SoSG performance evaluation, EK.

Kyle Baker said...

Mr C and uBragg swapping spit at the top.

Nostradamus said...

^Eeewww.

Nostradamus said...

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Eric Karros said...

I need to start outsourcing the puzzle scoring calculations. It's almost as fun as counting Flo vs Deltalina comments.

Thankfully my SoSG employment status is unaffected by my consistently poor performance reviews. I'm in tight with Sax and Orel...I'm untouchable, baby!

@EK

Yeah, that's what Pedro said, too, right before being frog-marched out the front door with nothing but a cardboard box full of memories.

Eric Karros said...

But unlike Pedro, Smonk's got my back too...so I'm safe as long as he remains unawarded.
