Longhorn Love

Seen in Beverly Hills last weekend:

Because nothing says Texas like a two-tone Passat. This is obviously a custom job, but could this be the future of niche car sales? After all, you can already seed your lawn with Fenway Park grass. Would you pay extra for a car with an official Dodger Blue paint job? That is, if you could figure out exactly what Dodger Blue is.

Torre's on NBC now talking ponies with Bob Costas.

I know it's a stretch to go from Longhorn to pony, but is to serve as our makeshift Kentucky Derby "GT"? For two minutes?

I'm favoring Homeboykris (obviously) and Line of David.

Per Dylan Hernandez, via Twitter:

Dodgers prospect Andrew Lambo suspended for 50 games for violating baseball's drug policy.

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

He went on to say that "Lambo tested positive for a drug of abuse."

Kyle Baker said...

Do we think Lambo was on the Lincecum weed or PEDs?*

*realizing it's all speculation, which a this point I'm happy to engage in.

Who is Ken Rosenthal riding today?

Getting ready to see Joe's horse in the derby. But my money is on Paddy O.

Bob Costas was barely taller than Calvin Borel. Costas would make a great jockey.

Mendocino Red Tail Ale in the house. Well my house.

Ed Price just Tweeted:

#Dodgers prospect Andrew Lambo suspended for 50 games for 2nd positive test for drug of abuse.

I wonder if Joe is going to lose to a philly again.....

Paddy made a run, a respectable show. I'll take it.

Didn't see where homeboy chris ended up. Better luck next time Joe.

Happy for Borel. Since I started betting on him at Oaklawn in 1991, he's done me right and I've in turn bought rounds for those around me based on the winnings he provided.

Note to self:

Go with Dusty to the track.

Headed out to the game. Meanwhile, here's the lineup:

Johnson 7
Martin 2
Ethier 9
Kemp 8
Loney 3
Blake 5
DeWitt 4
Carroll 6
Monasterios 1

Cause yesterday's lineup just worked too well.

Joe's pony placed 16th.

Well lets up his baseball team places a bit higher at the end of the race.

Any time, Paul!

*packs gin and tonic supplies into the Dodgermobile, heads south on the 110*

This is one of those days that I'm glad I don't obsess about the farm system like other blogs.

That Borel can ride him a KD, cain't he? (translation from Kentuckian available upon request).

Back OT, I selected my Blackjack from ATT because it came with a white face and a Dodger blue back. Everyone asks if I got it that way on purpose.

Hook 'em Horns!
