Post-Game 113 Thread: Bisoned

DODGERS 4, GIANTS 2

Although the Dodgers stranded another eight men on base tonight, Matt Kemp's bases-clearing double off Jonathan Sanchez in the fourth inning was enough to get them the win. Hiroki Kuroda was strong, allowing only a second-inning home run to Travis Ishikawa over 6 1/3 innings.

Hong-Chih Kuo, Ronald Belisario and George Sherrill combined for 1 2/3 scoreless, and Jonathan Broxton got his 25th save, but not before giving up a home run to Bengie Molina on a 97-mph fastball.

Chad Billingsley has been scratched from his Wednesday start, leaving Tim Lincecum to face Mr. TBA. Chalk that up as a loss, so by winning tonight, the Dodgers have assured themselves of a shot at taking two of three in this series. It's encouraging.

So for Wednesday, we either pitch DreamWeaver, Young Mc, or invent a time machine so we can go back and trade for Halladay.

O Dawg felt "a groin thing" according to Torre and will likely be out tomorrow.

I heard Mr. TBA is a Total Bad Ass. Don't write him off so quickly.

On the post-game interview, Torre said Hudson "felt a groin thing" when he slipped on the field.

I thought it was Twenty Bases Allowed.

Heh. Psycho just said Bills has a big ass.

I like the time machine idea. Let's do it.

Or we could go all Weird Science, and use some old toys, a GI Joe action figure, etc. and conjure the perfect pitcher.

We could kill two birds with one stone by converting Loney back to pitcher.

Yeah...maybe not.

If o dog wants to feel his groin thing he should not do that in public. He does need a day off.

That's so juvenile, yet I can't stop laughing.

Orel-

I like how your juvenile comment, though likely referring to the post immediately above your comment, can actually refer back to just about any other comment above it. And, admittedly, most of the juvenile content being mine.

Can't help being me...

Loney can pitch several innings.

he is hitting like one in the week.

Dusty Baker- I hope it's McDonald or Elbert, knowing Torre it will be Weaver.

Folks, just got back to the hotel from the game.
Remember this; rbnlaw delivered and represented the Blue in the SF.
Early thoughts from ATT: lots of drunks, lots of fights, lots of, "Dodgers Suck" after the game.

My response? "Yes we do. 6.5 games worth of suck."
Great trip to the Bay Area.

@Rbnlaw, well done! Send us some pictures!

At first last night, I thought Torre was double switching Castro into the 9 hole instead of doing the obvious and putting Loney in the nine hole and taking the last out Loretta...which for defensive purposes should have been done.

I would like to see McDonald in there as I think he has the best chance to put up a performance to match Lincecum. He seems to have his confidence back too.

@Sax:
Pics as soon as I get home.

2 good things about the Big Phone:
1. No wave.
2. No beach balls.

@rbnlaw:

But were they playing the 100s?

rbnlaw said...

@Dusty
The 100's?
They do have one scoreboard game an inning; or so it seems.

No lie. Cable car races, guess the attendance, a find the hidden ball game, a high/low game using jersey numbers, the easiest trivia questions in the world, but the biggest and best jumbotron I've ever seen. It could be Hi-Def.

Oh, and cold as hell when that fog comes in.
