Poll: How Are You?

Really, how are you?

  • Fine. World Series, here we come!
  • Mildly concerned. But winning the division is still a lock.
  • Definitely worried. We could be competing for the wild card soon.
  • Freaking out! We're all going to die!

Vote in our new sidebar poll!

And the results from our last poll:

A surprising number of you would trade some of our favorite players — and for that haul, I can see why. As much as I'm a supporter of Free James Loney, it was the prospect of losing our everyday catcher that was the deal-breaker for me.

Not that the deal ever was close to fruition, says Ned Colletti, who admonished the media and those damn blogs for fomenting innuendo. Wonder how Jon Heyman of SI.com and Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com feel about being lumped in with the rest of us.

I'm feeling pretty meh today, but not because of the Dodgers.

I'm trying to keep everything in perspective.

If this were September, I would be worried. We don't want to start being known as the Mets of the NL West.

I'm not too worried, mostly because with my son due in two weeks, I have bigger fish to fry.

I am looking forward to some good ol' beat-up-on-the-NL-West action, though.

Congrats Josh S!

If the Padres had thrown in Henry Blanco, one of the best fielding catchers in the league, my emotional attachment to Martin/Loney/DeWitt would've been the only think holding me back from liking the deal.

We have 15 games against San Diego, Washington, and Pittsburgh in September. If this was September, I think we'd all be freaking out.

Thanks, AC.

Looking at the schedule again, the Cards/Cubs series at home are the only things left on the schedule that really scare me, so I'm hoping they can pad the lead a bit in SF and AZ.
