Now You Too Can Camp in the Outfield

The Dodger blogosphere has its Blue Heaven, and now the Dodgers have theirs — their Blue Heaven Sleepover, that is.

From a Dodger press release:

The Los Angeles Dodgers will once again offer fans the chance to spend the night at Dodger Stadium at the fourth annual Blue Heaven Sleepover. Fans are invited to bring their sleeping bags to the stadium on Friday, August 14 to watch the Dodgers play the Diamondbacks on DodgerVision, eat dinner, play catch on the field, watch "Field of Dreams," and enjoy breakfast the following morning.

The price of the event is $200 per adult and $100 per child and includes a Dodger goodie bag, dinner, and a buffet breakfast. The Dodgers are also offering a special family price of $500 for two adults and two children. The first 200 people who purchase spots will receive a free sleeved blanket.

Like many DODGERLIFE events — Under the Lights, road trips — this sounds like a great opportunity IF you can afford it. (And great call on Field of Dreams!) But if it doesn't fit your budget and you still want to hang out on the outfield grass, wait until next Father's Day!
