Joe Torre didn't take any chances tonight, pulling Chad Billingsley after 5 1/3 innings with the Dodgers leading 4-1. Fortunately, the bullpen actually failed to blow the lead this time, with Ronald Belisario, Hong-Chih Kuo and Ramon "workers' comp" Troncoso preserving Chadley's third win.
Tonight's offensive heroes were Andre Ethier (3-for-5, 2 RBIs) and James Loney (2-for-4, HR, 2 RBIs). Manny and both Blakes also chipped in with one RBI each.
Join us tomorrow as we hope that Dan Haren pulls a Rodrigo Lopez. Oh, and maybe Stephen Strasburg will get traded to the Dodgers too. (Geez, so negative after a win? Time for some Scotch!)

I'm already prepared for Vin's strums of "the Pride of Pepperdine."
Kobe shaken up.
Lakers by zehn Mit neun minuten
Make that zwolf!
If we can beat Ubaldo, we can beat Haren.
I really want to put the boot to the Jazz' throat now. Still upset about the Fisher treatment.
Brown with the 3!
Just remember, Dusty:
Minden Sie siene Umlauts, bitte
What am I remembering? I forgot.
Nous avons sept minutes pour gagner. Oui, nous poulons!

Muting these announcers. Can't take it any more.
Ah, go it! Well said.
Can we get a god dang stop already?
This one's in the refrigerator.
This one is fading fast.
Have fun golfing, Jazz.
Stupid Fuentes and his moustache just blew a save. Pushing back lakers live once again.
I know, Mr C; can't find the umlauts on the iPhone (and the autocorrect puts umlauts as "impairs")
Lakers gewinnt!
2008: Lakers win 4-2 over Jazz
2009: Lakers win 4-1 over Jazz
2010: Lakers win 4-0 over Jazz
Next year: Lakers win 4-(-1) over Jazz
Jazz: Can we play you every year?
Thx for heads up on Angels game. Clinging to last bit of baseball for the night.
Great headline. "Bullpen Fails to Blow Lead"
I think if you hold down a vowel key on the iPhone it gives you the option for accents. Like "Ăś" but I'm not sure that's what your looking for.
Son of a gun, Nic - I never knew that. Thanks!
@Nic
What if you hold down "Y" - does it sometimes give you other options?
Pøśšįbłÿ, dûštÿ.

Per Jon Irelands Twitter
"Our bus just hit Boozer's Escalade. Swept, fouled out, and gets his ride trashed all in 1 night. At least he's a free agent"
HA!
Why is Jon Ireland a Boozer hater? He lost, let him suffer in peace.
Boozer looked a blind man in the eye and lied to him!
Kharma gets you everytime.
We're in third place! THIRD PLACE!
bills: HULKSMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH
I, for one, for once, enjoyed that game. It felt like a real Dodger game for the first time in a while. The game didn't feel out of control like every other game had this season. I wasn't expecting Bills to give up 4 straight hits after walking the leadoff batter. I wasn't expecting Russ to muff a pitch in the dirt. I wasn't waiting for Matty to overrun second base or misjudge a sinking liner. Things seemed back to normal, at least for a night. Maybe playing the Snakes will do that, but it feels good anyway

"I, for one, for once"
I instinctively jotted down the one different letter between "one" and "once" in anticipation of needing to solve one of Josh's puzzles.
Belli1 had that wicked fastball cooking last night and it was good to see. It's the one that's kind of laredo and starts middle and cuts into righties at 94-95mph. I haven't seen much of that this year. I haven't seen all of his appearances so maybe I missed it. But maybe he's feeling more comfortable about airing it out now after a couple of weeks
You're right, FB, it did have some movement on it. It took him awhile to get his location down (first 5 pitches were balls I think) but once he did, the movement looked good.
