Clayton Kershaw (3-2, 3.55) vs. Kevin Correia (4-3, 4.35).

Last time we had a Kershaw-Correia matchup — five days ago — the results were spectcular. In Kershaw's start before that, the results were pretty spectacular too. Before that? Not so spectacular. What we'd love today is another strong start to prevent the Dodgers' first series loss in their last five tries. We'd also like to get another winning streak started. Oh, and while we're at it, we'd like a pony. Pretty please?

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 276 of 276Awesome standing ovation for Kid K as he exits. Loved his smile when he talked with Torre on the mound.
great outing for the kid tonight. A much tougher road to hoe than the last head-to-head match with Correia, but he hung tough and delivered!
Torre to Kershaw.
"great outing kid, ill let you take HomeboyKris out for a spin"
Belly, strike out one your new teammate in winter baseball!
He heard your plea, Karina.
@Mr F 8:59p: looks like you're garroting Anderson.
Now you strike out your former teammate.
I feel like Obi Wan Kenobi :)
Salazaar wearing the XproTex batting gloves.
I was wondering if the company only making them with yellow pads would stop teams from wearing them.
Damn, Nikkei down 2.64%. See what you did, Mr C?
breaking out a LOOGY for GA, really?
haha and he flares one into right.
@dusty
Gives a whole new perspective to the invisible hand of the market.
@Mr C
I believe the market gave us all a visible finger today.
D'backs take the lead.
Lincecum is not a machine.
He's not a machine
Don't look now, but giants tied with snakes bottom of the 8th
Mark Reynolds struck out!
Delino is a news cycle ahead of me
Reynolds has to strike out to keep up his 1.4 K / 9 Innings ratio. Takes real talent
My dog just demanded like her sixth walk today. Something strange afoot in Burbank
Broxton just doesn't dominate the way he used to. He gives up at least a hit each outing. (Not scientific but just going on memory.)
A Delino, you do is trying to get its walks in while Ely isnt pitching.
#Elymania
@delino
Call in John Ely, that'll straighten out that situation quickly.
Delino
My dog had pooped on the floor when I got home from work today, which isn't usual. Must be something in Pasadena, too.
Josh, anything afoot with pets in Glendale?
your dog*

"I mean no place child" .

Nic j by a nose, and I already used the joke once. Shoulda been ready.
You think anyone ever called Everth "Neverth." I think that I just created that perfect insult.
(Writing in ipad) Note to self - call Everth "Neverth" during next Padres again.
NEVERTH
NEVERTH
NEVERTH
It's so frikkin genius
yeah i used it on twitter when the whole ELYMANIA thing started.
We'll call it a draw.
C'mon Brox, strike the punk out.
Stairs looks way smaller now for some reason.
Suck it, Stairs!
THE CURSE IS GONE!!
My wife's got a thing for Matthew McCounaghey (or at least, before he did some of his recent shitty films)
Thus, I will not even watch the game when Ely pitches :-)
It's a win!
MAtt Stairs - the fastest man on Earth
Phew - we kept his lightning legs off the bases. MAZOL TOV!
SEE YOU TOMORROW IN A GALAZXY FAR FAR AWAY

Headline on MLB.com:
"Dodgers offense finds spark, despite absence of Ethier"
@Nic J
Yeah I commented last night that it looks like Stairs has a bad disease or something. He's thin as a rail, comparatively speaking.
@nic j
Yeah, I used it on Twitter, too...
Creepy.
Giants down to their last out, Arizona leads 8-7 in the top of the 9th!
However, Chad Qualls is in now.
Triple for DD.
iPad publish button is hair trigger, yes?
That's already 1/8 as many triples as DD hit for Dodgers in any season he was with the team.
JINTS LOSE!
Dbags win!
2nd place, a game back...or something like that now, no?
so that puts us in second and one game back, right?
like it matters at this point in the season.
Jaysus, Nic, we are mysteriously in sync.
the dodgers and the GT are in complete synergy.
@Dusty: My pet rock gave me the finger. Is that weird?
Brox striking out Stairs was like Christmas. Or rather, like Chinese turkey after Christmas was ruined by the Bumpass's dogs.
Bumpasses! Sons of bitches!
It's Manny's pinky toe that is injured. What the hell with pinkies?
^*narf*
So ultimately, we end the series where we began, with a two-game deficit to make up.
Not sure if the post-game show production quality could be any shittier. My eighth grade movie for English class credit was better produced.
two games back looks better when your looking down on the giants though.
I blame Chris Meyers, douche.
MLASF: 1 game. Oh, you mean to have first place outright?
But the Giants are looking up at us now. As it should be.
^ Not two games, back. Just one. But I think MLASF meant two to overtake.
Speaking of games back, Os are 17.5 back. Feel bad for them. Look for ward to Nats spanking them this weekend, though.
Stupid Gameday. Didn't update the records.
It's been that kind of night.
TIED FOR THE WILD CARD! TASTE THE EXCITEMENT!
(Tied with the Reds. Still seems weird.)
Magic Number is 122!
I'm tired, have had a long day at work, had to clean up dog poop...do I go to bed? Nooooooo! I get a beer and turn on MLB Network.
This O.A.R. song still sucks, but it's growing on me. Winning helps me enjoy it more.
this has to be the worst produced dodgers live post game ever.
Stupid highschool spotlight segment cuts to commercial in the middle of it. Then the commercial cuts out to Meyers saying "thanks for watching dodger baseball"
terrible
@Nic
What about the random still picture of people entering the stadium that was just stuck on the screen for about 10 seconds? Pathetic.
@Mr C
Just saw ur other comment re RAND>Deep Thought. Nice!
@dusty
I have a talent for tagging a clever comment to a dying thread.
MFHYPGTUP!
I have nightmares that I'm going to miss the final comments of almost-forgotten threads.
Speaking of have we figured a way to kill the Rally Sock Monkey Thingy thread yet?
