A Message to Those Who Tried to Poison and Destroy Me

Thanks to all those Delino-maniacs who clicked elsewhere. But to the rest of you...

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go change your vote now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.

And I still got many a Delino DeShields card just waiting to be mailed out.

One of those was from me not paying attention to what I was doing...I apologize to you and Mrs. DeShields...please save me from your wrath

Just checking, not that I need to change my vote, and not that it was for The Delino, but isn't it impossible to change one's vote using this polling tool?

Delino DeShields said...

DB - of course it's impossible... with that attitude :-)

Hey, a warrior bent on revenge need no logic.

Steve Sax said...

Yeah, pollcode seems pretty rigid. I won't use this one again...

Clearly you're right; I do need an attitude adjustment.

Only slightly OT given the content of this post, I just watched Inglorious Basterds. WTF? Don't know where the hype came from on this.

Don't blame me! I voted for Kodos.

Fanerman deserves ten cards for that one.

The Basterd movie was all over the map. Loved that first scene. Can't say I loved much else.

DD, I just voted for Sax. Does that help your cause/earn me a card?

Steve Sax said...

@FB, I can't believe you did this to me. I thought we were hot cakes buddies.

Wait a second, let me re-word that.

Steve Sax said...

DD, are we off the hook if we tried to poison you, but not destroy you? (You know, that whole Nietzsche thing.)

(Friedrich, not Ray.)

DD-

Exactly. IB was all over the map. Mrs. Dusty kept saying "Pitt's character is supposed to be way over the top; just wait and we'll see why." But that moment never came, and I admonished Mrs. Dusty for both speaking in semicolons and for making me suffer that hideously drawn character with a god-awfully fake Southern accent.

This was one big hot mess that only gets accolades because it's Tarantino doing his thing. Normally that's a good thing, but not in this case.

I wish I had license like that so I could really stink up a place doing something, but people would just say, "Hey, that's just Dusty doing his thing, let him have some space, man."

Sorry Saxy - I thought it would be best if you and Orel were tied. And keep your hands off my cakes (speaking of vinyl)!

Just to keep using the word Basterds this early in the morning...

The movie was barely about the Basterds, and they wound up being the least interesting ones in the movie.

That Waltz guy deserves every award he gets... I've seen a million films with Nazis in them, and he did something totally unique with the part. Strange that he was the most three dimensional role by far.

Glad my threats of violence thread turned into an Ebert and Roeper column.

DD-

Totally agree re that Waltz guy. He was amazing.

But Pitt..man I just want to kick his head in. But apparently Angelina Jolie has emotionally already done that, according to reports.

I thought being a Met fan was its own worst punishment. I voted for Lasorda.
