Angels' announcer Rory Markas dies (The Fabulous Forum)
Markas always seemed to bring a genuine enthusiasm to his broadcasting of Angels games, and he and Terry Smith made a fine team. Condolences to the Angels, their fans and his family.

I met him when my mother and I were going to our seats for the playoff game in 2008. He was interviewing random people when we walked by. Very nice, asked us a few questions on camera one of them being who our favorite dodger was - Steve Garvey of course!
He was one of those guys with a perfect "sports voice". You couldn't imagine him in any other profession.
