Go Saints!

My wife and I were lucky enough to spend some time in New Orleans last year, and we found ourselves rooting for the Saints in last night's NFC championship game. It's not just that the city could use a boost after Hurricane Katrina — the effects of which are still very much present. For me, it was the people: some of the friendliest I've met. Oh, and the food: Can you say BBQ Shrimp PoBoy? Oh yeah.

So good luck, Saints! May your first Super Bowl also be your first Super Bowl win.

I've had the fortune to visit twice, once right before Mardi Gras and once about four weeks after Mardi Gras. The place was so crazy, I can't imagine how off the hook it must be during Mardi Gras.

Or, for that matter, after a Saints Super Bowl win.

the mardi gras was unreal, hard to describe.

and that game was the dumbest I have seen in quite a while. I was 80% sure he was going to miss that field goal. The Vikings deserve everything they got

Charmaigne Benson and I grew up in San Antonio. We met in high school and remain good friends. The Benson's are a large, close, and loving family. They have selflessly given millions to educational, sports, and humanitarian programs in New Orleans and San Antonio. I would love to see the "nice guys" finish first. They are very deserving of that trophy!

I am a die hard Cowboys fan but Charmaigne knows I have her back covered.

GO SAINTS GO!

It's hard not to root for the Saints.

But I had to laugh when Reggie Bush answered Rachel Nichols' post-game interview question with the comment that Saints fans in New Orleans "are gonna destroy the city tonight." Eek, that was a poor choice of words.

You had me at PoBoy. Although that one did come toward the end.
