Of course he was juicing! His arms are the size of Homer's head!

Um, guys, news?. Nick Green signed.

(I do like how Geek's giveaway was based on a Simpsons artist's representation of McGwire.)

tramapoline!

I can already hear the rousing applause he will get from the Busch faithful on opening day for enduring all that he has gone through

*sniff* the poor guys has gone through so much - it must have broken his heart to admit that. I bet he really suffered with that burden. I am glad he has a clear conscience now. The best fans in baseball will get him through the hard times.

Jose Canseco going on MLB on XM/Sirius in a few minutes. Should be good radio!

In other news: sun to rise in east tomorrow.
A-Rod said to be dating a female celebrity.
DB drinks wine.

Details at 11.

This just in: Busch Stadium to rename "Bic Mac Land," "No Shit, Sherlock Heights." May pose problems during broadcasts, but the good people of Saint Looie demanded it.

RB, I can't believe you just blew my cover like that. I would have admitted it five years ago, but the time wasn't right. Now I just want to get it out there in the open and move on to help my team.

Other, non-McGwire news:

"Vlad passes physical, signs with Rangers"

Good lord, what low standards are they setting for passing physicals these days? Don't you have to be able to walk unassisted to the physio's office?

is RB the Jose Canseco of this blog?

Paul said...

Well at least this thing seems to have come full circle (with Barry Bonds in the middle of the circle).

Now I am fully expecting an apology from our great Commish aobut how his office did not do enough to address the issue initially. (yeah right).

Mac your apology is about as timely as an Andruw Jones homerun.

All will be revealed in my new book, "Sloshed: The Story of Major League Baseball Bloggers and the Booze They Drink."

I will first be vilified; then hailed for my bravery in bringing this issue out of the dark, to the light.

the terrible, terrible light from when you've been drinking all night in a bar and walk (stumble) out in the morning sunshine?

With a foreword by Wade Boggs.

RB,

Will the book have before the NLCS and after NLCS pictures of each of us? That will tell the tale.

I hope that picture of me with a bad mustache, pointing at the security guard that I "never touched that drink or that woman...period.!" resurfaces...

Do you want to know the terrifying truth, or do you want to see me sock a few dingers?

McGwire, from a phone interview shortly after releasing his statement today:

"It's very emotional, it's telling family members, friends and coaches, you know, it's former teammates to try to get ahold of, you know, that I'm coming clean and being honest," he said. "It's the first time they've ever heard me, you know, talk about this. I hid it from everybody."

Yeah, except for the hiding it from everybody part.

Easter egg hunts at the McGwire house are a freakin' cake walk.

Is Mc Guire on a 12-step program or something? He's gone back and told former teammates that he used?

Sounds like making amends to me. Good luck on steps 9-12, Big Mac.

The rest of you can start your steps after my book comes out. . .with pictures.

@Paul: You had a playoff stache?
