As always, great pictures. This morning, the very first thing i saw was Loney sliding at home on Sportscenter. Sweet!

What is the VORP of a set of conjoined triplets who can levitate?

Karina- I can't believe that the first thing you saw on SportsCenter was the 8 seconds per hour not about things that rhyme with Crett Barve.

ESPN.com's Jayson Stark hears that Vicente Padilla has become "a consideration" for the Dodgers now that a liner to Hiroki Kuroda's head has further depleted the team's rotation. The Dodgers are talking with Padilla's agent, Paul Kinzer, and we could hear of a deal this afternoon. The Dodgers, who would only be responsible for about $100k if they add Padilla, had uncertain interest as recently as yesterday but they're now considering him.

update:

12:45pm: Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports hears that the Dodgers are "moving closer" to an agreement with Padilla.

Can we call him Vicente Cria Padilla?

Vincente Padilla officially puts the scare in me that the Rockies or Giants will catch the Dodgers in the division race over the next month and a half. Billingsly may have gotten the win last night, but he only had one strikeout. Its not just that Padilla looks like one of the Battletoads, he's a bad pitcher.

This whole situation makes me think now that Coletti should have sent Billingsly and his mental "issues" to Toronto for Roy Halladay. Ugh, I think I'm going to eat an entire package of Chips Ahoy and hide in my closet until October.

What's the story with Vincenzo and this "bad teammate" talk? Is there real substance to that? Like he will steal all of the gum from the bazooka pails? Or is it just a product of losing in Texas and Philly for so long and being ornery?

Maybe we will get some good kharma back from andruw jones playing so bad for us last year and the rangers getting A way better player in him this year. Besides, if he isn't any good they can just cut him.

Wesley Vento said...

He was a bad team mate b/c he would hit opposing hitters for no reason, and then his team mates would get hit in retaliation. That and he's a dick. Oh, and he's not a very good baseball player either.

Hong Like a Chih Kuo- If you're going to criticize BillingslEy, at least spell hims name right. Colletti's can be spelled wrong though, fuck him.

Padilla averages 1.5 WHIP, over the past five seasons. That's not very good. Bills averages a 1.36 over the past four years, and Kuroda averages a 1.2 over the past two seasons.

Neeebs,

Can Greedo pitch? He looks reptilian, kind of like Padilla.

KK,

Did I spell Greedo right?

Neeebs (The Original) said...

Hong: It doesn't matter if you spelled Greedo right, because you weren't criticizing him. Isn't that the standard???????????? :-)

Greg Zakwin said...

Neeebs- Yes, yes it is.

And I'll correct my own oversight: *his, not hims. Damn spell-check not correcting my mistakes.
