Today's game went pretty much as expected: Eric Stults lasted five innings, giving up individual runs in the second, third and fourth, and Jeff Weaver mopped up after him with three scoreless. Javier Vazquez was brilliant, striking out seven Dodgers over eight innings. The tiring Ramon Troncoso and Guillermo Mota combined to cough up five additional runs in the eighth, and we are left wondering if this is a blip or a trend.
Dodgers drop to 3-6 in August. Giants lose, Rockies win; both teams are 5.5 games back. Ready or not, San Francisco, here we come!

im depressed, but on the bright side i still have one more wall to paint.
Dude, am I the only who thinks this team has serious problems right now? they are almost in a nose dive.
it seems like no one is talking about it.
I blame Joe Torre for losing Fri & Sat's game
I can't wait for some football.
Gawddammit! I paid good money to be up here in the SF to watch this team. If we're in a nosedive, I'm coming after Booger for redemption.
All we need to do is stop using Mota and Tron and bring up Belly for the SF series. Now, off to the pool and dinner.
i'm in san fran right now too. but i'm leaving tomorrow. haha
i dont think i could take it right now if i went to a game.
belly is already up, he was alright yesterday. Retired two walk a man then was pulled. Tron really needs to go on the DL his arm has to be tired.
victorino gets tossed out of a game and John Kruk says its the Umps fault, surprise.
Nic, are you suggesting someone at ESPN is biased towards a team from the East Coast?
Is my bias against the east coast bias good enough to get me a job at ESPN?
@Rbnlaw: sensible words, agree with you and thank you very very much.
Just got back from having some Belgian beers at my local.
Did we still lose? Are we still in a nosedive of sorts?
Thought maybe a wormhole had opened or something...
