Eric, you are getting excellent to nail hundreds. How you do it?
MLASF, you will one day rue your underestimation of me.
Uh oh.
Hi Karina, thanks. I think I am 5-1 in terms of hits/misses, but I can't stay up late enough to get the high-earning hits.
I see a 2, EK, but no zeroes. But hey, it's your website.
Uh, oh...someone just blew up and released a GT beach ball.
Hey, Josh has a point. You need 200, not 2oo. There's a big difference.
2OOlander looked awkward.
@Eric Karros: so you rely on consistent performance.
The precedent has already been set several times with 'B2oo-yah!' and '1ook who's talking'.
Yes Karina...either that or luck.
Bills is impersonating Derek Lowe
I just looked through how the Dodgers scored their 4 runs. Nice!
Bills' hat looks Soaked Breezy.
That'll teach me to empty the dishwasher around a hundreds post.
Karina, how come you don't play the 100's game?
We gotta admit Eric not only nails hundreds, he puts an effort to be creative.
I know we want starters going deep, but I'd rather Chad rest his knee. Pinch hitter now?
Pinch Schmitter?
Totally agree Josh. But what the hell is Schmidt doing with a batting helmet??
What's up with Torre? Wjy is Schimdt wearing a helmet and holding a bat?
No sixth for you, Chad!
Bills looks very upset.
The curse of 13 pitchers.
Nice!
File under: Torre is a genius.
I don't know why you were all saying bad things about Schmidt batting.
Torre is a GENIUS!
(How many millions did that hit cost?)
Okay, Torre, you're a genius.
@Josh: (How many millions did that hit cost?)
Enjoy the moment, Josh!
Torre is a genius with (sometimes) questionable management of the bullpen.
I wonder if we were ever in on Victor Martinez. I only ask because he went 5 for 6 with 4 RBI today.
Sorry, Karina. My phrasing was poor. I'm happy he's earning his money, actually.
FJL!!!
OK, nevermind my V-Mart thinking.
King James RBI double!
Was Manny's fly out deep?
No Orel. His slump is getting scarier and scarier, because his contact is getting lousier.
Joe Morgan may have a point. His hand may still be hurt.
Hey, it's Scott Elbert!
He cruised with 9 pitches.
Bills is not injured, but i don't know how to say what he has.
Calambres (due to humidity)? who traslates?
It appeared that he hyper-extended his left leg on follow through.
That's different from what they said on ESPN deportes. Never mind.
ESPN Deportes may have been attributing it to cramping.
ESPN Gringo showed a slo-mo replay of his leg hyper-extending. Didn't look serious serious, but Torre was right to take him out for precaution.
"I want to see Flat Breezy come in to top off the weekend." -- Mrs. Dusty
"ESPN Gringo." Ha ha!
Is Chad really hurt?

Chad looks like he slightly hyperextended his left knee in a follow-through in the fifth inning.
Will we get to #300?
"Mannywood South"
RANCHO ARDIENDO!
Loney with an ouchie.
My sister-in-law just diagnosed Manny's problem. She said he usually does a tap-tap-swirl-swirl as his pre-pitch routine. She noted he's doing three swirls lately.
Clearly, she's onto something.
run in
That's how Manny sends morse code messages to his roids supplier.
Buffalo!
Hopefully, then, three swirls is "don't send any more."
More Bison awesomeness.
Thanks, Dusty Baker
"ESPN gringo" hahahaha
Bison RBIs! 8-0 Dodgers!
Cracking myself up with my new ESPN moniker. Got a bonk on the back of the head from my wife, but it was worth it.
5 RBI for Bison!
Unfortunately, three swirls means "crap, turns out I can't hit without 'em. Re-start delivery, please!"
Weird how Manny's D improved while his bat his cold.
Manny gave it a few extra rolls, like an Argentinian futbol player.
"is" cold
Anyone else glad we didn't trade Elbert?
Put in F(l)at Breezy!!
I will be really impressed if he goes three. As it is, 2 1/3 scoreless is great.
Is that it for Elbert?
O-
See Diaz stay on or near 2nd while the ball was in the air, or at least until he knew where the ball was going to go? Do that.
Very nice, Elbert.
Addicted to love!
Brave-ettes? What the hell?
Laaaaaame.
OMG YANKEES RED SOX NEXT WEEK
So long, shutout.
Flat Breezy time!
Orel, no, you're kidding?!?!?!?!?!?1?
How were we supposed to know that Yanks v Red Sox was going on this week? They have totally been keeping this on the down low.
I know. Stupid west-coast bias.
Until Yankees vs Red Sox begins, these Dodger "games" are a nice distraction
Look at all those people leaving. Those must be the Dodgers fans. *eye roll*
We may not be the "Yankees." We may not "have 26 world championships." We may not "wear pinstripes."
They are STILL talking about the PEDs issue!
Pile it on! This will be good for the mental health of our struggling offense.
And for my mental health.
Let's hit double digits
I've timed it. 5 minutes and not a mention of the game. Still talking about PEDs.
Well, it is a blowout.
Wouldn't Steve Phillips be part of the complicity he's assailing?
300
300
300
Then talk about why it's a blowout.
Erin #2 out of nowhere with the attempt!
Drats..........I'm so suck at this game........
I'm lurking tonight.
No granny for James.
Not anymore, Erin!
Erin #2 is using the hide-and-ambush strategy.
Orel is uncatchable. My goal is second.
Are there any anti-lurking penalties?
Well, I'll be at Wednesday's game. But in the press box.
Well, it worked for you Eric.......I guess that's cause you're the master! :)
Ok, I'm going back to lurking!!
@DB: If there were, a lot of people would be in minus points.
And we wouldn't know who they were.
Eight-run lead, Tron. Don't blow it.
Oh Dusty, that is soooooo wrong! I'm just an innocent Dodger Fan!! I met Steve Garvey when I was 6 years old and I've been hooked ever since......
I wasn't directing that at anyone, just wondering if that game had a twist where you couldn't not have commented for x amount of comments and then try the 100 or something.
So you mean we could take away some of Eric's points??? Hmmmm....
christ - 19 hits, and still with out much from Manny. i can't wait until he gets hot again!
Is an anti-lurking penalty a penalty levied against those who oppose lurking? Sounds like an idea worth considering.
@ Erin #2
You mean hooked on S Garvey or on Dodgers? ;-)
And Chad gets his 11th!
Anyone going to try to run it up to #400?
Lurkers are just efficient with their keystrokes. I think they should get a bonus.
Both... :) Steve was a great roll model when I was growing up. I have three brothers who all think the world of him.
That would be 76 more inane comments, mostly from me.
great way to finish the trip. It could easily have been a 5-2 trip too. It seems that our mistakes always seem to hurt us, that we can't seem to work around them or we dont get lucky and get out of the trouble we cause for ourselves. Maybe it is balancing out from the beginning of the season when everything seemed to go right.
RIght, Fred's Brim. Several of these could have easily gone the other way.
Hopefully we got those out of our system.
Welcome home, boys! I'll be in the Yard tomorrow night.
If the Dodgers are indeed back on track, then was it a hiccup or should we be really afraid of the Cardinals?
If there aren't any new comments in the next five minutes, the PGT is going up.
I'm still pretty afraid of the Cards, at least in their Yard.
Jhe Jend.
Best record in the NL ensures home-field advantage through the playoffs, right?
As long as Heath Bell doesn't have any say in the matter.
That fat bastard.
Unlike Broxton, who's our fat bastard.
Hooray for victories!
Off the schneid! I never understood that expression.
I tried to type schneid earlier but couldn't recall the proper spelling. It was when Manny finally got a hit.
It's Yiddish, no?
Oy, how should I know?
"To break a scoreless, hitless, or winless streak (i.e., a schneid). According to the Dickson Baseball Dictionary, the term "schneid" comes to baseball via gin rummy, and in turn comes from German / Yiddish "schneider," one who cuts cloth, i.e., a tailor."
Big win on national tv!
Maybe they need an ESPN Tribe to bring this all to light.
Another in the long line of gin rummy-baseball connections.
No announcement has been made....
Post-Game Thread is up!
