Post-Game 71 Thread: Hiroic

DODGERS 5, WHITE SOX 2

Was Hiroki Kuroda on tonight? Yes he was. He tossed his best start of the season, inducing 26 outs over 103 pitches (70 of them strikes) and allowing only two runs on four hits to the White Sox. At one point Kuroda retired 16 straight; he was still touching 94 mph before being removed with two out in the ninth inning.

The offense was powered by James Loney's two-run homer in the second; Orlando Hudson had an RBI and Casey Blake added two insurance RBIs in the eighth. Paging State Farm!

The Dodgers are now a season-high 23 games over .500 and were so good Ozzie Guillen got himself ejected so he wouldn't have to watch the whole game:

Listened to most of this at my son's soccer practice (makes me popular). Kuroda sounded like he was masterful tonight, but it was only the Sox.
