Actually, Blake and Brox are playing cribbage. A GREAT GAME to learn if you've never played.
I like the look on Andre's face in that photo.
I want to learn that!
SOSG Cribbage tournament?
Frankly, half the fun is explaining the rules to someone and trying to convince them you're not making them up as you go.
Wait, is Torre cheating on Bigelo with Dr. Pepper?
maybe thats why 'dre doesnt take pictures with anybody.
Blake: Was that Bill Pullman or Paxton who threw out the first pitch last week?
Broxton: What's the difference?
Blake: Good point. . .29!
Careful Broxton, if Casey Blake ends up owing you too much money from these cribbage games he might reassign you to a MASH unit.
The Ranger clubhouse is much bigger than the Dodger clubhouse.
I noticed when I sat near right field that Andre loves picking his teeth and then looking at what he picks out. I think that's what's happening here.
I'm always amazed at how much younger Brox looks without his hat. Probably because he IS young.
In that same gallery on Dodgers.com is a hilarious picture of Raffy grabbing Andruw Jones by the shirt. Definite caption contest material.
Mr. Customer: Actually the fun part of cribbage is the journey and the banter during the pegging. When the Neeebs family goes to Nashville we have knock down/drag down cribbage tournaments all through the night.
Neeebs,
Pegging someone for ten or twelve is definitely entertaining. I enjoy turning over a 15 or 16 point crib nearly as much, just for the shock value.
I haven't played cribbage in forever. Now I'm going to have to play online tonight.

If you know the alternate definition of "pegging," this doesn't sound as fun.
Context is everything.

See for yourself,

BTW Dr. Geek, why would you know that alternative definition?
:-)
More than I'd EVER want to know on this subject.

That is definitely one of the funnier disambiguation pages I've seen.
Most don't know this, but cribbage can be played at a very high level for big bucks. They may well be taking money off each other.
