Post-Game 69 Thread: That Was Unexpected

DODGERS 6, ANGELS 4

WP: Jeff Weaver (4-1), LP: Jered Weaver (7-3)

The parents Weaver didn't get their wish (two no-decisions), but we sure did. Russell Martin hit his first home run, Andre Ethier had two RBIs, and Orlando Hudson and Casey Blake each had one. Ronald Belisario, Ramon Troncoso and Jonathan Broxton did their usual bullpen thing and the Dodgers put themselves in a position to even their season record against the Angels tomorrow.

Goodnight Jered.

Goodnight Jeff.

Mark Sweeney is pretty low-energy. Makes one miss Steve Lyons.

Rex Hudler, on the other hand: too much energy.

Giants win on a WP. Damn.

This goodnight moon theme cracked the whole room up as soon as we pulled up SoSG after the game. Props!

I understand having some sort of hybrid post-game show when these two teams play each other, but having two Angels guys and one Dodgers guy who's never really been on TV seems a tad unfair.

Didn't they give Mark some patronage job in the organization?

Wait, Mark Sweeney counts for OUR organization?

Andruw Jones was too busy?

Sadly, yes, he's ours now. He was a coach during ST, but now he calls the WIN broadcasts with Jeanie Zelasko.

When he's not doing the DodgersWIN thing, though, he's still some sort of coach. When I was on the field on Wednesday, he was in uniform, throwing BP to the pitchers.
