On the Night the Dodgers (Again) Went 20 Games Over...

UConn's Hasheem Thabeet (7'3"), Matt Kemp (6'2") and Lottomatica Roma's Brandon Jennings (6'1").

Next to Joe Torre, a batboy by the name of Chad Scully. Notice any resemblance to a certain Dodger employee?

It's hard out there for a pitcher.

Cue Journey's "Open Arms."

Nice heads up about Chad the batboy. There was a close up of him during the game and the first thing I thought was that he was taking his job a lot more seriously than the average bat boy. He looked so intense you'd think he was managing the game.

Now it all makes sense.

I would only say this with the semi-anonymity afforded by the internet because I am definitely NOT one of "those" female baseball fans BUT Matt Kemp is the sexiest man in professional sports. Hands down.

Wow, that Scully pic is interesting. It's striking how similar they look. Someone give him a microphone now!

Are batboy gigs usually given to the relatives of team employees? I guess it doesn't hurt.

The last time the Dodgers were 20 games over 500? The end of the 2004 season.

The last time they were 20 games under? The end of the 2005 season.

Actually I'm not 100% sure of the above, but I'm pretty sure.

weren't they were 20 games over .500 (39-19) after Ethier's game-winning bomb on Saturday?

That's correct.

Chad Scully really does bear an uncanny resemblance to his grandfather.

As for the Kemp/Thabeet/Jennings picture, isn't Kemp 6'3" or 6'4"?

Thabeet's noggin is 4'6" all by itself!

I took his measurement from the Dodgers' website.
