Never Do This

Police and security restrain the yahoo who ran onto the field during Sunday's game at Angel Stadium. Top experts suspect alcohol may have been a factor in the man's behavior.

UPDATE: Added the blue dot to conceal the perpetrator's identity. After all, we don't want to encourage such behavior.

I was sitting only about twenty feet from this jackass. Just one of the many interesting parts of this game. The fourth pitch of the game was laced foul right at our section. A dad missed the ball and his son wasn't paying attention. The ball hit the son directly in the face. Lots of blood and commotion from the beginning of the day.

I saw this guy run on to the field. He alluded one guard and put his hands behind his head as a gesture of giving up.
A second security guard never missed a beat and hit him with a flying tackle to the mid section. The yahoo went down like a house of cards.

My kids loved every minute of it.

That sucks. Tackled by a fat Paul Blart Mall Cop. Handcuffed while being face down. And having a big blue dot placed over your face.

Usually Angels Stadium allows fans to tailgate (read, drink beer from plastic cups) but this series was different. I was at the game on Saturday and there were horse mounted police patrolling the parking lot before and after the game giving tickets to anyone holding an alcoholic beverage. I guess this is the reason why.
