Manny's Minor Future

From Kevin Baxter at the LA Times:

After speaking with Manny Ramirez early Wednesday, Dodgers Manager Joe Torre said it was likely that his suspended outfielder would begin his rehabilitation assignment with the team's Class-A Inland Empire club, the 66ers, next Thursday.

Torre cautioned that everything is subject to change, but with Inland Empire playing that day in Lake Elsinore and then at home in San Bernardino, Ramirez would be able to play without having to pack and leave his Pasadena home.

True Blue LA did the math:

Here are the likely games Manny will play:

@ Lake Elsinore
Thu 6/25 - 7:05pm
Fri 6/26 - 7:05pm
Sat 6/27 - 7:05pm

@ San Bernardino (66ers home)
Sun 6/28 - 6:05pm
Mon 6/29 - 7:05pm
Tue 6/30 - 11:05am

Anybody planning on going? As usual, we want pictures!

If he is going to the 66ers game then I will only be ten minutes away. And if they still have Thirsty Thursdays then I have no choice.

Loney Fan & Booger,

I might just have to join you. Finally, a time when living in Redlands is cool!

Looking forward to everybody's reports! Maybe the 66ers should have a "Blog Spot" in their press box.

Haha one fan on the news was just quoted as saying "it will be the biggest thing to happen to San Bernardino since they built the freeway."
