After speaking with Manny Ramirez early Wednesday, Dodgers Manager Joe Torre said it was likely that his suspended outfielder would begin his rehabilitation assignment with the team's Class-A Inland Empire club, the 66ers, next Thursday.Torre cautioned that everything is subject to change, but with Inland Empire playing that day in Lake Elsinore and then at home in San Bernardino, Ramirez would be able to play without having to pack and leave his Pasadena home.

The Thursday through Saturday games are in Lake Elsinore. He'll be in San Bernardino Sunday through Tuesday.
