Can't We Let Sleeping O-Dogs Lie?

Apparently not, if this photo, taken by SoSG regular Mr. LA Sports Fan, is any indication. Orlando Hudson may be a Minnesota Twin, but he's still adorning the Dodger Stadium exterior walls as a Dodger (as of the exhibition game vs Cleveland last week; loge level, first base side):

Maybe there's a special provision to retain the images of Dodgers who hit for the cycle for the Dodgers, for the first time in almost 40 years.

Or maybe, management can't afford to update the exterior (let alone most of the team), given financial constraints? Hmm.

Sorry for my unrepentant cynicism. Like the Hudson poster, I suppose I'm just venting a bit.

thanks for the photo, Mr. LA SF!

They can't possibly be that cheap can they?

Is it a matter of budget cuts, incompetence or both? Whoever oversees facilities management really needs to find a new gig.

I guess we'll see if it's still there next Tuesday.

Is there a Juan Pierre somewhere on the wall? I wonder if they're just going to change the name underneath to Garret Anderson.

The Kevin Brown stayed up there forever, as I recall, a stark reminder to ill-spent money and un-ending injury.

I'm guessing the Russ Ortiz poster hadn't arrived yet.

I just contributed to the McCourt Fund. I purchased my tickets for friday's game against the Natural Disasters, Molina and Sandoval.

Remember when they had to change the huuuuge Piazza poster after they shipped him to Florida?

One of the darkest times in my life was May 14-15 1998.

Last Seinfeld episode, Sinatra died and Piazza was traded. I still don't know how I made it.

As of Saturday Randy Wolf was still up on the Pitchers side of the park.
They could be changing them between then and Tuesday. Who knows.

It was the big Jason Schmidt that really hurt me. My daughter would say, "who's that, daddy?" And I'd say "Jason Schmidt, sweetie." And she'd say, "does he play for the Dodgers?" I just never knew how to answer that.

Schmidt, according to wikipedia, is currently a free agent. We can sign him again! Wouldn't that be exciting.

Repko to the twins. Seems fitting, good hardworking team full of guy you think to yourself, "Who the hell is (fill in the name of any player that isnt mauer)

Well, i guess he is playing for their AAA team.

D'OH!!

HAHA, rox announcers spend a whole inning talking up their starting pitcher and he just gives up a three run bomb.

Randy is pitching today btw, had his traditional shaky first inning.

Minnesota Twins, the team that picks up players that even Ned Coletti doesn't want to dreg up.

Good luck, Jason Repko!

Barry Zito has a shutout through four innings in Milwaukee. A SHUTOUT? Wow! Surely he's got the right stuff to go all the way for the Giants!

The Giants are 2-0. Another big earthquake. I can't help but think the end is near.

HAHAHAHA, revenge is sweet.

Kings knock the ducks out of the playoffs.

Go Kings!
Things are looking up...Guinness is on sale for under 5 bucks a 6pack. I love after St. Patty's day overstock.

Sweet win by the Kings. Nice move by Kopitar to put the puck in.
