Sights & Flights from Opening Day

"Hey, did anyone drop a Gold Glove? Oh wait, it's mine!"

Sterling smiles, Silver Sluggers.

LeAnn Rimes (national anthem) and will.i.am (ceremonial first pitch) chill before the game.

Former Dodgers Don Newcombe and Edwin Jackson.

Both teams execute a complicated stand-under maneuver.

Is it still Opening Week? Whatever, I'll take it!

Rihanna rocks Dodger Blue.

Reed Johnson fits right in with Kemp and Ethier.

All systems were go. It was a good day. I'm a little concerned to see Kershaw so obviously gassed before he went very deeo into innings, but nonetheless a positive step since his first outing.

It's just so strange to be getting a healthy amount of run support but worry about pitching and defense. it's turning my world upside down!

Let's string together some wins and get the NL West standings back to normal.

TV showed RiRi cheering Matt's 8th-inning double. I was shocked she was still at the game that had started nearly 4 hours earlier. Maybe she didn't get there until late, but still, it must be love!

Great Pics - looks like a good time was had by all!

@FB, it's been love. Where have you been? Volumes were spoken when it was brought to light that Matt Kemp had a restraining order in a previous relationship and she didn't run. Given the Chris Brown situation, most women in her shoes would have cut bait and run the opposite direction. Instead things were cooled to "friends" status for a while.

And from his side, nothing says "I love you" like birthday parties, diamonds, and stripping midgets.

On TV, the grass at the stadium looked soooo green; the sky sooo blue; the offense sooooo potent; the pitching sooooo Ortiz.
One day, I will be at the home opener.

@MeanieB - no question! Diamonds and parties and then sweating through a 4-hour walk-fest? Do I hear wedding bells? :)

@FB- Only time will tell.

Hmmm...Reed Johnson is short and rocking the high socks.

He's the new Beast Mode!

Josh, are you suggesting "Johnson Mode"?

MSTI has summed up my feelings about yesterday's game perfectly.
