SoSG Reader Pictures from Opening Day

I had the great fortune of meeting SoSG regulars Josh S. and Dusty Baker at yesterday's home opener. More on those meetings in my recap post (which will come this evening, I hope); however, both of them were kind enough to send us some of their pictures from the yesterday's 9-5 victory at the following links:

Josh S.' shots

Thanks, Josh S. and Dusty!

Great photos, guys! I really wish I could've been there. Instead, I had to settle for tape-delay on the DVR when I got home in the evening.

Dusty - Thanks for the photo!

You bet, J Steve!

Nice sepia tone photo, DB. Maybe it's just B&W, but I likes them fancy words.

Goddamn Arsenal down to Spurs already.

It's funny b/c Dittmore was giving me grief about using B/W and sepia on some of the shots, too. I like experimenting with various iPhone apps so that's the result sometimes. There's one called Hipstamatic that produces some really cool old lo-fi imagers.

This non-local is heading down on Friday, I need the escape route from the Shortstop to Blue Heaven again.

B/W is for when you need to be all serious and cutting edge and shit. If it's good enough for Helmut Newton, it's good enough for me.

I definitely needed to be all serious and cutting edge and shit yesterday.

Ugh. No chance for my Gunners this year. Too many years without silver in North London.

DB,
Beware of Spurs at The Lane. Lots of rough play today.

The focus now turns to baseball; as it should.

Man, I was hoping for Gunners to leapfrog ManUre into second place. I think you fell victims to their (Spurs) embarrassment over losing out to Pompey in their FA Cup campaign.

@Paul:
Right or left on Sunset. Left goes up to the Sunset gate. Right gets you to Echo Park Blvd. Go to Scott, up the hill, down the hill, to Elysian Park. Go right, then you'll see the traffic going into the stadium. Go left and park in lot 1.

Check that. Right on Stadium Way off of Scott; left on Elysian Park.

Anyone going to be at the ShortStop tonight pre-game?

Josh S. said...

Thanks for posting these, Sax.

I wish I had taken more. It's just that after a while, I get tired of looking at everything through the viewfinder instead of with my own eyes.

Only in spirit(s), Sax.

DB:

You could be my younger brother, depending on the lack of follicles under the hat.

Did I mention Handsome?

Kyle Baker said...

Long lost Brother Neeebs!

Should I start putting an extra "e" in Baker?

Neeebs (The Original) said...

That would be Bakeeer.

Kyle Baker said...

Or "Dusteee"

Josh S, I just got time to look through your photos. We both took the same typo-filled DodgerVision shot. Love it.

Dusty, nice sepia tones, too!
