D.C.'s Distaff Dodger Devotees

Watching Saturday's game against the Nationals, I couldn't help but notice how many Dodger fans were at Nationals Park. Specifically, female fans wearing Dodgers gear sitting in some great seat locations. Way to represent, ladies!

Okay, maybe this last one was dragged there by her boyfriend.

haha that last pic is awesome. I've gotten that look before. That usually comes when you tell your lady, after you've dragged her to the stupid Dodgers game on a perfectly good Saturday, that you are meeting your buddies after to go drinking. "We won't be out too late..."

not so awesome: Loney, 0 HRs

It looks like Loney is disappointed with his behavior, as well.

I also noticed a bunch of Dodger blue in the crowd. Doubt we'll see that in New York...

I just realized I knew what the word distaff meant.

I guess that was a conversation killer.

Quiet.

Too quiet.

Apparently the game might get rained out.

weather.com says rains are supposed to start at 4p in NYC, continuing on through 10p with about 70-90% probability.

That's bad.

Per TBLA, looks like Ely might be penciled in as VP's stand-in this time around the rotation. Interesting.

I've been watching the map all day and it scares me. The really bad stuff is north of us and it's moving to the north and east. If that was on top of us, they would have already called the game. But the little, crappy storms going past may not be enough to call the game. But everything will be wet and cold and gross, and they will likely have to delay the game as the storms pass through.

I can't believe I am saying this but I am hoping for an early rainout. That way we could play the Mets when (if?) we are playing better, and so that I can save a game for later this summer

Should we talk about the weather?
Should we talk about the government?

I was actually reading up on rainout rules last night. The home manager has the exclusive right to call a game until lineups are exchanged. After that, the head umpire has the right.

Sax, if that last comment doesn't draw Karina from the woodwork, I don't know what will.

What's up guys!?!?!

What is the SOSG equivalent to running and sliding on the tarp to pass time during a rain delay?

Oh and no Laker game! hmmmmm better conserve on the puns.

Not even a puzzle as a distraction if this thing doesn't go down in NYC. I may have to resort to work if presented with no other alternative.
