Glendale Vons Has Dodger Spirit

Thanks to SoSG regular Josh S.' brother in law, Lou, for sending this picture in to us. I have a feeling that display is made of soda cartons, but what I really need after watching that Sunday Marlins game is a cold beer.

I can't imagine that watermelons are already in season.

Those are actually just large grapes.

They should've used Pepsi.

Gotta use the original cola for the original LA team.
Colors be damned.

Only good thing to do with Pepsi is to pour that overly-sweet swill down the drain.

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

I'm only saying Pepsi for the blue.

D-backs treating the Pirates the way they're supposed to be treated, up 15-4.

And Edwin Freaking Jackson homered?!

"The festivities for the Dodgers' home opener will include country star LeAnn Rimes singing the national anthem, Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am throwing out a ceremonial first pitch, and legendary journalist and Dodgers season-ticket holder Larry King announcing "It's time for Dodger Baseball!" at the start of the game."

Should I have made last year my first-ever home opener? Yeesh.

Who wasn't a member of the Dodger-Pepsi Fan Club in the 70's?

We couldn't get all the black eyed peas?

Larry King doesn't count! He was going to be at the game anyway.

I don't like Larry King announcing "It's time for Dodger Baseball". That honor should go only to Vinny.

Paul said...

I agree with Karen. Larry King can take the calls on Dodger talk after the game.

Will.i.am? Really? That's the best we can get? What about Koufax? Sutton? Garvey? Cey? Russell? Fernando? Hershiser? Karros? Nomo? SOMEABODY WHO ACTUALLY MATTERS?

Pissed.i.am that Dodgers clearly chose to make themselves beholden to the media-entertainment complex over the rich Blue tradition from which they could have drawn for Opening Day festivities. I will just have to consume more adult beverages before the game than I had previously estimated and budgeted for.

We are going to have to do a post to tally Sons and SoSG readers at the game.

For the Sons, I will be there and Delino will be there...

Methinks this will be a loooooong season. Maybe Frank will sell the team by August.

And maybe I'll hit my numbers on the lotto.
