From Dylan Hernandez at the LA Times:
Done receiving congratulatory high-fives from teammates in the dugout, Mientkiewicz ducked into the clubhouse and disappeared for 10 minutes. "I went and found a quiet place," he said, not disclosing the location. "It was in the building. I knew no one would find me. The emotions exploded."

He cares about the game!! Very nice!!
Eye Chart deserves one more season on the team. The guy's bat is undeniable, and his heart is obvious.
In other baseball news, A Soriano shut down by Cubs for rest of the seasons, as was Grady Sizemore for Indians.
Glad to see Eyechart back and contributing. Wish he'd start Tweeting again because his were hilarious.
Welcome back indeed. How did he get the name Eye Chart anyways?
Good job Doug!
Now if Thome can produce as well.
@GLG - His name is like an eye chart.
Gagne, you have lucky glasses so you probably haven't had a need to read an eye chart.
Looks like EyeChart has the swagger and rawness and stuff the Dodgers have been missing for so long.
Ahhh, thanks MLASF & Dusty. Yes, my lucky glasses protect me from such strenuous activities like reading an eye chart
i wish he could still play first :(
Doug celebrated by taking the ball from the game and refusing to give it back.
