It's official: Star Wars Night at Dodger Stadium is a go! From Dodgers.com, here's the deets:

Join the Dodgers for a special celebration of Star Wars: The Clone Wars on Saturday October 3rd when the boys in blue battle the Rockies. The festivities will include appearances by Star Wars and Clone Wars characters before and during the game and the entertainment will feature Star Wars trivia and clips throughout the night.

Sit in My Town on Star Wars Night and you'll enjoy an all inclusive menu featuring Cloneburgers with Cheese, R2-BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches and Ice Sabers (popsicles) plus you'll also receive a limited edition MY TOWN THIS IS t-shirt featuring Yoda! Space is limited in My Town so purchase your tickets today and may the force be with you.

Fans are encouraged to dress in their own STAR WARS costumes and for this special night only, are permitted to wear STAR WARS masks only in the My Town section. Lightsabers will not be allowed into Dodger Stadium.

And from the Dodger press release:

The STAR WARS festivities will start before the game with appearances by STAR WARS and Star Wars: The Clone Wars characters in Autograph Alley. The pre-game on-field ceremonies will include these characters, one of whom will also throw a ceremonial first pitch.

Throughout the game, Star Wars: The Clone Wars video clips will be shown on DodgerVision and lucky fans will receive Star Wars: The Clone Wars gift packs. STAR WARS and Clone Wars characters will visit sections throughout the stadium and there will be STAR WARS themed music and trivia all game long.

Star Wars Night or playoff tickets? It's a good time to be a Dodger geek!

Going to this game already (I think) - last one of the year for me, unless I score some playoff tickets. I would kill for one of those shirts.

This is so cool. I hate going to Dodger Stadium. After the last bobblehead giveaway, I swore I wouldn't go to another regular season game this year. Now I think I've changed my mind. I have to get my hands on one of those shirts.

I so want to go to this game, and I have an unbreakable engagement that conflicts with the game.

I wonder if I can clone myself?

My dearest Mrs. Dusty,

Happy 11th Anniversary! Sorry we will have spent the last two at the Yard, but I know you understand. I'll put your name on the ribbon board again, so look for it between the 3rd and 4th inning.

Love you I do.

Kisses,
Dusty"

I'm pretty sure they're not going to be in that section, but that is the night TrueBlue LA is going. If Randy Wolf is not starting, I would expect him to be dressed as Obi-Wan.

Did you guys catch Jim Rome talking about this event?

Hey kids. I'll throw out my bribe on this thread as well.

I'll buy your ticket if you give me the t-shirt.

Maybe I should try this as a Jedi mind trick ... You will accept a free ticket and all-you-can-eat food and give me the T-shirt.

No really. Let me know. I gotsta have that shirt.

@Josh Lucas is growing sooooo cute!

@Neeebs i heard there's a place called Kamino where they clone people. They prefer to produce them in bulks but if you present well your case (which i'm sure you're awesome at) they'll be able to produce one in record time, so you can go to the game. Who can resist a dedicated sports fan?

I also want that shirt :(

I love it that the fine print says "Lightsabers aren't allowed inside the stadium."

Best. Promotion. Ever.
