Dodgers start Randy Wolf, LHP (6-3, 3.75) vs. Rich Hill, LHP (4-4, 3.38).
Dodgers: 28-21 (T-1st place NL West, L1)
Cubs: 22-25 (2nd place NL Central, 5.0 GB, W1)
From Dodgers.com, the scouting report on the starters:
Dodgers: Wolf became the club's first six-game winner and exceeded his victory total for last season by beating the first-place Brewers, avenging an opening-week loss in Milwaukee. Wolf scattered only three hits over seven innings and both runs he allowed reached base via walks. He's 2-5 lifetime against the Cubs.Cubs: Hill needs to turn the calendar, and quick. In April, the lefty was 3-1 with a 1.77 ERA. This month, he's 1-3 with a 5.87 ERA. In his last start against the Padres, Hill struck out eight but also gave up five runs on six hits and two walks -- and four of those hits were home runs. At least they were solo shots. It's just a matter of better location.
From Inside the Dodgers, the lineup:
Furcal, SS
Pierre, CF
Martin, C
Kent, 2B
Saenz, 1B
Gonzo, LF
LaRoche, 3B
Clark, RF
Wolf, P

Here we go! Let's take this series!
E-6. Here goes the defense again....
Randy Wolf pitches out of a bases-loaded jam in the 5th! Nice! Still scoreless.
Still scoreless going in to the bottom of the 7th.
Still scoreless going into the eighth.
Shit! Little leaves Seanez for one inning too long and the Cubs lead 1-0 with no out.
And Grady leaves Seanez in. I'd rather see Tomko now.
The GameCast ball animations make me nervous.
Andre Ethier ties it up with a solo home run!
One more run and we can bring in Saito.
Go dodgers! Extra innings!
Okay, bottom of the 11th. Dodgers have men on first and second, nobody out. The Cubs intentionally walk Furcal to get to Pierre. What a slap in the face. Let's see if they made the right move....
HBP??? You GOT to be kidding!
GameCast is frozen!
We win on a wild pitch. Love it.
Now, about that power bat we need...
Sorry, we won on a HBP. My mistake (and the Cubs', too). We'll take the win.
Happy memorial day everyone, enjoy the day off tomorrow!
